On my way out of town!!!

I've been gone for a couple days just busy as can be...and now I'm on my way to visit my sister in Yuma, AZ with my family. I'll get back rollin' with posting as soon as I get back...I don't want to lose my faithful readers...lol. I am so not ready for that 6 hour drive. Especially with 3 kids, a husband, and elderly parents...GOD HELP ME! LOL! In the meantime, here is a card I received for a swap from a dear bud...Nic! She's in Texas...and what a way to send greeting than with a Texas stamp! Cool huh? Loving the distressed look!!! Oh, and look out for the upcoming month for my very first blog candy...yummmmm!!!! So watch out for that! It's gonna be a sketch challenge to start off! So make sure you check back often (to those NOT subscribed) and then we'll go from there! Ok, until later......

Howdy!

Hi all! I made this card last night while I was "watching" the news about the wildfires going on in all directions from me. There's up North near Six Flags Magic Mountain, another East in Lake Arrohead, and then South in San Diego County. I'm praying for those that have lost it all and those in the paths of the fires...I ask you pray with me as well. I can't even imagine if I was in that situation, so therefore I deeply feel for these people affected. On to the card, I made it for a WIld West swap in my group and I have to say, even though it's "busy", I'm proud to send it out...lol. I'm my own worst critic...but I'm sure we are all the same huh? I just hope my partners like. If you notice the scalloped circle to the lower right...well, my sister has a clock in her bar area that looks so much like this and that is why I added the anchor to it, to give it a clocky look. Hopefully my sis still has it so I can post a picture when I get back from Yuma, AZ on the 28th. We leave Friday afternoon...I hope the winds have died down by then, or else it's a U-turn for us. Just this past weekend we went to my brothers house in Riverside County and the winds were harsh!!! My car kept getting pushed and I was swaying side to side. Thank God I have a good steering wheel grip or else I don't know. On the way back home, I thought I would take another route home to avoind the "valley" winds, but I think I got into it worst. There were tumbleweeds rolling into the freeway and it was scary. I lost vision for what seemed like close to a minute because of all the dirt and debree free flowing with the wind, but thank God I saw the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. Still windy, but not too dusty.

On happy news....I won my first ever blog candy!!! I was so surprised because I didn't enter it because of the goodies, just for the chance to make someone happy by sending them a friendly smile in an envelope...but remember the cause I posted some time back? About the twin baby girls with Neuroblastoma Stage 4? Well that's the blog candy I won. What makes me happier though is the current update...the girls are home and giving mom, dad, and brother, what they signed up for...lol. God is great! Read about it HERE!

Need Halloween Ornaments?

I had seen these on Splitcoast and wanted so much to make them but couldn't find a tutorial and to be honest, was a bit initmidated to make one. Then browsing thru Julie Buhler's blog, SHE HAD THE TUTORIAL!!! So I had to go ahead and try it out! I'm so making these for Christmas to hang on our tree! You can find Julie's tutorial HERE! BTW...check out her nails...they are GAWGEOUS!!! Mine would be all inked up...so I haven't had a manicure or acrylics in a LONG time! LOL!

RE: Picture....sorry there's no "cute" or "fancy" backdrop...lol...I was in a rush to make my tutorial for my group.

Whipper Snapper Revival? Before & After

BEFORE~~~~~
So as you may have read before about my Prismacolor catastrophe about misplacing them and having to use my Zigs to color this image here...well, I decided I was gonna try to salvage the card because I was very disappointed by how the coloring turned out...well I tried hard hard to revive it, but now the kitty is darker and looks like it has dark "chest hair"! LMBO!!! Hey, I tried! Next time I'll wait until I find what I need to use. I circled the kitties chest hair...lol...don't laugh too hard!
