Paper Makeup Stamps "Re-think"

Hello all and Happy? beginning of a new week! Yes...I'm not a Monday person...but I'm happy that I'm here!

So a challenge was thrown at Paper Makeup Stamps for us to remake or "re-think" our VERY FIRST Paper Makeup Stamps card. That was hard because I actually like my very first PMS card and I wouldn't change anything about it...but I did manage to remake and re-think my first card! First...this is my first card I ever make using a Paper makeup Stamp. I used Lauren in Love as my first! I think she's the one who lured me in to Paper Makeup Stamps...lol...NO...I'm pretty sure it was her! Well...her and Caliope with Heart...and Dreck...and...well...let me just move on now...lol!

This is my "re-thought" card. I wanted to take Lauren in a different direction than making her a "Valentine Traditional". Here she just loves the Earth! So I made her with greens. I kept the LO pretty much the same...just changed the colors and DP of course. Oh...and my first card was colored with Prismacolor markers! :O Could you tell? No huh? ;) So this is my remade Lauren in Love with planet Earth! She's planting seeds of love for our Earth! Please...hug a tree today! :)

See ya! Off to knock a million things off my "to do" list! YIKES!

Happy Valentines Day my blog friends!

Hey all...just wanted to drop by really quick to wish you all an awesome Valentines Day! I'm spending it with my kids today as Oscar was asked to work today on his day off. He's not working next Sunday though...it's our 12 year wedding anniversary! :)

So with that said!

Bombshell Colored MY way! The Tutorial!

Hey all...here again with a quick tutorial on how I color my bombshell girlies using Copics! I'll make another soon on how I color them with Prismas too! That's soon to come though!

As you know...I'm not only a DT member of Bombshell Stamps...but I'm also a big fan of their bombshells. I am wholeheartedly partial to the girls! They're me...my style! Don't get me wrong...I love all other girlie stamps like from other companies I use to stamp...but these bombshells are like nothing out there...they're special and unique in the fact that they represent a large community out there of the "alternative" lifestyle! One that's not fully "out there" so to speak. Anywho...just wanted to express that...lol! If that's your style too...deep inside but are "afraid" to show that side...DON'T...LOVE that inner BOMBSHELL and celebrate her! ;)

Now on to the tutorial!

Here are the following Copics I used:

(click on any image for a larger view...if you don't wanna leave this page, right click and open in a new tab/window)

E02, E00, E000, & R02

With E02 I begin to color the areas I feel would be darker...as in a shade...

Then I follow up with E00 using circular strokes to blend E02 & E00

I then follow that with E000 and blend all together making sure to concentrate on the center to highlight that are and NOT take away too much from the E02

For the cheeks...I like using R02 as the "blush"

Then I go back in with E000 and go around the "blush" to soften it up. If I find it's too bright, I also go over the whole cheek to lighten it up

For the rest of the body I do the same...minus the R02 of course!

Now here she is all colored and completed on a card I made that I submitted to a magazine! I'm crossing my fingers to have it published! She is inspired by Alice in Wonderland's Mad Hatter! :) She's Mad About You! Once again I used LV's favorite colors for my color combo! I'm loving this color combo...lol...you may see it more often! ;)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this tutorial helps!

Go For The Gold Challenge at Bugaboo!

Hey all and Happy Saturday! It's happy because I'm auto posting as I just lay in bed and spend quality time with the kids. They keep complaining I haven't spent enough time with them lately so I'm dedicating this weekend to them. We're gonna have a coloring session though and stamp a bit...but NO COMPUTER TIME! Maybe complete some chores around the house as well...and care for a sick baby. She has another cold thanks to our strange weather! It's a good thing actually...staying off the computer today...but not all for great reasons though.!

Anywho...today Bugaboo is challenging YOU to make a card or project inspired by the Winter Olympics! Of course your projects don't have to be Winter Olympic themed...but instead just by being someones cheerleader and cheering them on to "Go for the Gold"! Can be someone with a new job, maybe just married...anything that cheers someone or something on!

I actually took it literal and made this treat holder. What athlete doesn't need some kind of snack bar...mostly energy ones right? So this Cupie Baby here is cheering on the athletes competing...don't matter where they're from...but he IS partial to his U.S. of A! LOL! You go baby!

Well I wont keep you! Head on over to the Bugaboo blog Catch the Bug challenge blog and see what the rest of the design team has to show you! Remember...GO FOR THE GOLD!

My FIRST post as a GUEST DT for Fussy & Fancy Friday challenge!

Today is the first challenge for Friday at Fussy & Fancy Friday challenge blog in February AND it's also MY first post as a guest designer! When I knew Jennifer was a founder of the challenge blog...I knew I wanted to answer the call.

The challenge is "Dazzle Us". Of course when Jenn let me know the challenge...since she's a Twi-Freak...lol...of course she said Edward was HER thought...lol! Gotta love that crazy chick! I'm a Jasper girl...so Edward wasn't the first thing on MY mind! Instead...I decided to use the AMAZING digi Katie created in my name...Moody for Rock! This stamp will forever live in my heart...as will Katie...the illustrator...and all of those who have bought the digi. :)

My "Dazzle" is all the Stickles I used. Hey...a rockstar has to shine right? I used LV's fave colors for inspiration. ;) Hope to see you play along! Like the digi? Check it out at Paper Makeup Stamps!
