So last night I didn't get any stamping done because I just HAD to go to YouTube and look up easy crocheting tutorials. Well...I've always wanted to know how to make beanie skull caps before I even tried to crochet. So I found this tutorial and HAD to make one! I still feel it in my fingers as I not only had the skull cap...but also the flower attached to it. Yet another of this ladies tutorials. At first when I started I said...'ok...I'll start it off and then take it with me when I pick up the kids' you know...to work it in stages? Well I couldn't stop! LOL! It got addicting and plus I didn't want to forget what stitch I had left off (numbers and crochets).
As soon as I was done with it...Lizzie tells me "oh mom...I want it"! So of course since I did it small and it couldn't fit MY fat head or LV's...I decided this one is for Lizzie! She was super happy with it on! She even waited for Oscar to get home to show him (he get's home after 11 at night). He was actually pretty proud of me and my cap. :D I went to be a happy camper!
Just this morning though when I took the picture I realized I had stitched on the flower backwards! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Yeah...don't attempt finishing stuff off when you're half asleep! I'm gonna have to unstich it and flip it so Lizzie can wear it to school today...lol. Yeah...she wants to show it off to her teacher and friends.
Ok...so tomorrow's post I promise there will be some stamping! K? Thanks for putting up with my non stamping posts! ;) <3
I uploaded the pictures of Lizzie wearing her beanie cap! She was such a happy little girlie going to school ready to show off! I flipped the flower to the right side...lol...you can tell the difference! I also added a little jewel to the center of the flower. :)

Thats AMAZING! So, is the picture with the flower backwards or the right way?
Fantastic! There's nothing like wool running through your hands in winter! I knit and I always lose the urge in summer, but when fall starts creeoing in I start thinking about colors and patterns (my favorites to do are hats, mittens and socks so I can finish up and move on to new colors!!) Have Fun and thanks for sharing your creation!! :-)Traci
it's brilliant Gabby! I want to see a pic on Lizzie wearing it! she's adorable and I know it will be adorable on her too! BTW, I keep itching to try the pic tut you emailed me, but I haven't had a free moment, ugh! I'm hoping tomorrow. See, DH is out of town for work (the AF feels the need to send our hubbies away for crappy work! ugh!) and my kiddos are driving me nuts and this "single mom" act is wearing me out. Thank God for quiet evenings when the kids are asleep and I can have a glass of wine while I blog surf. I better go to bed... Fantastic crocheting!!!
Too cute!
OK, I don't know how, but I just came across this page when I was logging off the computer to go to bed: http://www.planetjune.com/blog/free-crochet-patterns/
Don't know if you can use this, but if so, ENJOY!
Adorable!! Great job Gabby!!
That beanie is pretty darn cute, especially on your cutie pie daughter! I have been knitting some mini flowers for my cards too but my scrapbooking friends keep asking for them so I haven't had a chance to actually use them myself yet because I've given them all away.
Great job on the beanie! You should be proud!
Awwwwwww! Lizzie is adorable with it on! WOW Gabby! I see a crafting monopoly in your future - stamping, designing, crocheting, WOOHOO! You are one uber talented diva my dear. Just remember us little people when you need assistants to your CEO self. lmbo!
Lizzie is adorable!!! I knew it! heehee. You need to make a couple of these and sell them on your Etsy! I'll be buying one for my Angel Baby. She'll be 2 on Oct. 1st and I'd love to get some birthday pics of her in one! Same colors as lizzie's cuz Angel has a shirt in those colors that says "It's not easy being perfect" and with that cap, it'd be perfect! How much??? I'm ready to buy it already!!! lol
I love it - great job! If you decide to sell them, let me know, my daughter would love it!!
wow, great job! this is SO cute - I think I want to make some too
