Cooking up some CUTE fun!

Ok...I am having too much fun with these cupcakes that I HAD to team them up with Hanna! I know this looks like something Hanna would cook up to BOO her friends at a Halloween party! Can't you see it? LOL! She is even in her Halloween's best! She's my new best friend! LOL! When I got the cupcakes and saw Candice's card at Rubbah Soul...it hit me to make a card using these cupcakes! Kiss The Cook Hanna is too cute! Her face just screams OMG!!! I don't know but I think I over did it! The card is not exactly what I had envisioned but it was the idea! I shoulda coulda woulda...whatever...it's DONE! LOL! It looks busy but then again Halloween is busy! All those decorations of jack-o-lanters and vampires and witches...oh my! Wonder if Hanna added something "extra" to that batter brew to enchant a certain someone! See those swirls coming out that bowl? That looks like a pinch of magic to me! ;)

See the tops of those cupcakes...they're gumdrops! LOL! I added some diamond glaze and sprinkled with micro beads to give it that "sugary" look gumdrops have. I love those chewy things! And how cute is Hanna with her pieced apron? I used a scrap of the Creepy Crawly DP I had stored away. I knew I would need it so I didn't throw it away. Then I ask myself WHY I have so many scraps of DP and CS! *rolls eyes* I save even the smallest pieces of DP. They could be 1'' x 1'' and I still think I could use it! LOL! Oh, and I hand drew the witch hat. She was not complete without it! I even drew on some witchy stockings! Whatcha think?

Resisting Fall

Hi! Here is a card using the emboss resist technique. I'm feeling a bit out of myself...like I'm in another world or something...so if this post seems BLAH...I am so sorry! I try to make my posts funny or interesting and what not...but in my recent mood...*shurgs* I just wanted to make sure I posted something.

Anywho...this card here makes me think of Fall and how JEALOUS I am of those who actually get to see the transitions from season to season. Here in So. Cal. we only have dry and wet...lol. <--a little humor! :O It's so not feeling like Fall here again. We're back to warm weather and I can't stand it. Last night we had 3 power outages! I guess people are using their AC's again! *sigh* Ok...if you don't know how to create a card using the emboss resist technique...it is very easy to do. GO HERE for the tutorial at SCS! This card is a set of 6 for a swap. And to be honest with you...I'm not quite sold on it yet. background was brayered and "daubbed"!

Silly Boys! Tools are for girls too!

Yeah...now this is what you call "GIRL POWER"! Not only boys can use their tool toys...so can us girls! I made this card as a set of 6 for a swap. I'm angeling for a dear friend who is having such a hard time right now. Poor hun had to have her angels make out her swaps because she would hate to drop. Although us Ho's have each others backs we wouldn't mind one of our Ho's dropping at the last minute (with a valid reason of course)...but still...just like our Ho's don't leave another Ho hanging...we were called in to help and answered. SO...since I just love these Hanna's...this one here screams girl power!!!

GIRL'S ROCK!!!
Custom Smiley

I was going to paper piece her outfit to match the paper...but instead I went to the old reliable white gel pen! Poor thing hasn't been used in ages! It's not a Halloween stamp...but I just HAD to showcase her! Whatcha think? Now that's a sassy looking, well dresses, ready to find that stud Hanna huh?! Flirty Wink

I have tons of this DP still left from last Halloween season...so I'm trying to use it up even though I HATE using my DP...it's just too cute to look at! Anyone else have this obsession? I know I'm not alone on this one...lol. :P I also have this ribbon from last year too...so it's time to use all my old stuff to make room for new stuff. Yes...I even did it pumping my fist in the air! I am such a Trojan and with weekends game whoppin' they gave to the Buckeyes...I had to make me my USC card to display on my desk! I used Melanie's Just So Sporty NEW set! As soon as I saw it...I KNEW I had to have it! This set is so cool and comes with SO MANY PIECES to work with...it sure is a bang for your buck! I stamped the hoodie twice...once on Summer Sun and another on Robin Hood Red. The background is a pattern I found thru Google pictures and just copy and pasted to print out. I also broke out my CB dies for this one! I hadn't used the dies in a while...so why not dust them off for this card? LV nicely pointed out to me that it looked like it said SUC (as in suck) on the hoodie...LOL...but I don't see it! :P Kid! *rolls eyes* Whatcha think?

I am SO glad Summer is almost over...well...to us Southern Californian's at least calendar wise! I WISH we had those fun transitions where we actually see the seasons change...but I'll live vicariously thru friends and online pics...lol. Still...having some breeze starting to come in is so refreshing compare to those sticky heat gusts...UGH! I hate the sticky sweaty feeling!!! Anywho...here is Hanna enjoying the "final days" of Summer! Oh...and you don't always see me use tons of flowers like this huh? Well...thanks to the WONDERFUL Cindy Haffner...she has inspired me to break out my flowers to play with. I mean I invest so much in these things I might as well use them! LOL! Thanks Cindy for that inspiration! ;)

As you may all know by now...I have a sick obsession with Hanna Stamps. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE my other dealers...uhm...I mean stamping companies...but I don't know what it is about Hanna Stamps! Anywho...I made this card yesterday before the Hanna release party because I was gonna submit it for a challenge. Turns out I read it wrong and entered it an hour late. I thought I had seen PST but nope...it was EST! DUH GABBY! It was no harm in sharing anyways...so I still posted it! LOL! OMG I am SOOOOO happy with this card! I tooted my own horn, patted my own back and shoulders, and legs, and hands, and head, and feet....you get it! I am VERY proud of this card...it's like no other card I've ever made before! The only thing stamped here is Hanna, the palm tree, and the sailboat...the rest was freehanded! Yeah...UH HU! LOL! It's also my first time in a LONG time making a larger card. It was actually made for an MFT Guest Designer challenge. It's a chance for me to...and only wish of course...on becoming at least a one month guest designer for one of my favorite stamp companies. I laugh everytime I use these Who's That Girl? stamps because...eeek...they have no heads!!! But OMG they are so much fun to play with. I inked up this set JUST for this challenge. I had something completely different in mind when I started this card out...but hanging at the release party and being given a little shove by my girl Joy...I had to tweak it up a bit! From 'Swimmers Ear' to 'Hawaii on the Brain'!

Well peeps...looks like my ears are getting better little by little and now it's passible enough for me to blog! YAY! So with awesome pain meds and antibiotics to help my infection...I am back in action! Last night was my first night to get back to stamping and it felt soo good! Good thing my Muse was up with me as I accomplished plenty of things like swaps and what not I had to get out of the way. Thanks to all who left well wishes! HUGS!

This "card" I made here was for a few reasons!

1. I thought the tutorial was great and the outcome SO different from what I'm use to! 2. There is a Hanna challenge to use the Luau set and ya'll KNOW how much I LOVE Hanna stamps! The challenge was to create a scene...so I don't know if this card will qualify, but I tried. My scene I guess is the flowers and the base as the "sand"...lol. and 3. There was ANOTHER Hanna challenge to make ANYTHING 3 dimensional using Hanna stamps! So in a way I killed 3 birds with one stone! ;) Good aim I may say! LOL!

OMG you can't even IMAGINE the scent coming off this card!!! I used my old soap scents to scent the flowers and base up using MangoPapaya scented "smellies"...my own smellies! I have so many scents stored I need to start bringing them out to make my cards smelly...lol.

I know I promised Halloweeny stuff...but I HAD to do this first! Next up...an MFT card! Ooooh! Now I need to make a Michaels trip to see if they have Martha Stewarts "dripping" edge punch! ;) I just noticed in on SCS on a card in the gallery and thought...HOW FUN!!! I'll have to wait until Friday though when Oscar is off since I can't drive due to my pain meds. Oh well!

So...what you think of this "Free Standing" pop up card?
