Featured Stamper of the Day is...

None other than my OWN LITTLE GIRL...Lizzie! LOL! She told me..."mom...are you gonna show your friends my cards so they can see how pretty they are?" LOL! So of course...I have to feature her! These are 3 X 3 cards she made for a swap on SCS. The swap is hosted by a dear friend and fellow Ho...Lisa AKA wildbasket! The swap is for those who are pet lovers. We sure are...we have a cat named Bubba, 2 cockatiels named Paquito and Lucy, and 2 budgies named Edward and Bella! Lizzie picked everything from the CS colors to the ribbon...to the image. She said it looks like Bubba when we found him in the clothing hamper...lol! Talk about attention to details...lol. Look at how attentive she looks!

Here are our fur and winged babies! In order of appearance: Bubba, Paquito, Lucy, Edward & Bella.

Nesties!!! I love them!!!

Ok...as mentioned before...I was gonna post my first project made using my new babies. Well...I completely forgot yesterday and so I'm posting today.

I made this tin for a friend who had been suffering from a nasty cold and so in the tin...I threw in some tea packets from Tazo teas. I love those teas!!! This one is a green tea with a dash of peppermint. Great for sore throats. I also had to use some of my neglected stuff to make this with something new...you know...to balance my purchases out! LOL! Yeah...that's my story and I'm sticking to it! :P I reached for my box of scraps and foud these large pieces of CS and DP just waiting for their time to be used. It's DP from K & Co. that I bought AGES ago from Target. Target doesn't even carry it anymore it's been that long!!! I've also negeteced my dimensional sticker flowers that combine with the DP also bought at Target. My objective this year...and part of a resolution is to use up what I haven't used. I need to justify my purchases...NO? I have also been neglecting my Rubber Necker stamps! I have a large photo box full of these stamps...and could you believe some haven't even been inked??? Yeah...that's bad! So when I finally decided on what I wanted to do with the tin...I reached for the foliage stamps from the Jeanne Streiff collection which I'm just now noticing they are no longer avail. So glad I picked them up when they had them. Basically everything on this tin was neglected stuff!!! I'm so horrible! *puts head down* BUT...that's about to change! This is one resolution I just can't breake!

Now...here is a pic of my new babies in their temporary home...that's until I go shopping again and buy me a binder and some magnet strips. Here they lay on a magnet sheet slipped in to a clear envie. They're together with their older brothers...the star...lol. :P
Supplies:
CS/DP: WWasabi, Bright White, & Bungalow DP by K & Co.
Ink: BBlack, OOlive, & AArtichoke
Stamps: Red Flower & Just Leaves by Jeanne Streiff Collection
Embellishments: flatback pearls, olive satin ribbon, & dimensional flowers K & Co.
Others: Mega Rectangle curved Nesties & ribbon punch

In continuance with the "redneck" humor...

Here is LouAnn...she is FABULOUS and ready to go WalMart shopping! LMBO! You have to dress up for Wally World!!! Ok...only if you're a "redneck"! I swear...sometimes I think I was born into the wrong race or something...because I would make a great "redneck"...but maybe that has nothing to do with race once you think about it! It's just a way of life! For us Latino/as it would be called "Ghetto Fab" or something like that...but either way...if I could have flamingoes in my yard or live in a trailer with a wading pool outside...I would be OK with it...LOL! Of course I wouldn't cross breed with my relatives! YIKES! Anywho...if you're offended...hmmmmm.....

Finally...my first TEE!

Hi all! Sorry I've been away again. Never-ending drama that's taken me away from stampy time. No but seriously...my dad had a little accident and well...all I have to say is THANK GOD he's doing great!

So...moving on! I finally was able to stamp something last night. I was feeling cranky and took a Valium and well...came up with this card! When I first saw Melanie's Little Tee set...all these ideas came rushing thru my head! This one was the very first one I thought of! I love olives and my momma...so what better way to combine both! ;) Plus...I have so much of this DP in my scraps pile that I hadn't used so I knew I had to use it for this card! I love how versatile this set is!!! Hope to make a couple more today! The background was created using the large olive from the Rubbernecker cocktails collection...cool huh! The shadow for the "body" was created by first using my pencil then I colored it in using Warm Grey. I saw that on Melanie's blog and had to do that to give it a realistic look! Ok...now that I have another fun idea in my head...I better go work on it now before I forget! See ya'll later with another Tee card!

Prismacolor markers used:
Light Olive (olive)
Crimson Red (pit)
Cool Grey 20% (shadow highlight)

What's Up Cupcake?

I know I'm probably late on the cupcake train...but I couldn't resist making this card (a series of 6) for a swap. This image is just to darn cute to NOT use! It took me 2 hours + to make these 6 cards...but I wanted to make sure the images weren't colored ugly with streaks...so I used a different white CS for this (I get more "streaks" when I use SU's WWhite). This paper is more absorbent than SU's WWhite. I may have to get more of the CS! Hmmm...Target here I come! ;) I used one of my own card maps to make this card. Not quite how I had it in mind...but still happy with the end result. OH...and I used PirPink...the new SU pink for the In Colors! Also something new I'll be starting to post...since a lot of my friends have liked how I color my images...they've picked up some Prismacolor markers...so in case they see a color they like and want to use...I'll have the colors I used...so here goes!

Prismacolor markers used:
Crimson Red (cherries)
Blush Pink (cupcake frosting)
Leaf Green (cherry stems)
Dark Brown (cupcake "chips")
Walnut (cupcake)
Cinammom Toast (cupcake wrapper)
Cool Grey 60% (mice ear, tummy, & hand "shading")
Cool Grey 20% (mice)

Supplies:
CS/DP: PirPink, Au Chocolat DP, CChip, C2Cocoa, & White
Ink: BBlack & Prismacolor markers
Stamps: Cupcake Mice from RubberNecker Little Lovin's Collection & MFT What's Up Cupcake

Image coming to life!

How cool is it to stamp an image and see it come to life? Well...I love it so much...I took pictures of a CUTE image I used for some swap cards! This was my first time using this stamp and I had so much fun coloring it in! I love these cutesie stamps and don't use them enough! This stamp is from the Rubbernecker. I told my kids it's them...LV in the middle, Oscar Jr. on the right, and Lizzie on the left...lol. Here you go...hope you enjoy!

I know I'm late...but here is an SCS Friday challenge!

Sorry I've been off and on...I have just been so short for time it's CRAZY!!! Anywho...the challenge over on SCS this Friday past called for making a card using ONLY brads as embellishments and to incorporate the brads INTO the stamp itself. I had just received my AWESOME Jeanne Streiff Collection stamps from RubberNecker that I had to use them. I used brads as centers for the flowers. Limited layers for this card as Friday's challenge calls for limited supplies. You can create something cute and passable with limited supplies...you just have to look for that inspiration! *wink* So what you think?

Supplies:
CS/DP: BBayou, BBlack, & WWhite
Ink: BBlack & SSky
Stamps: Red Flower, White Flower, & Just Leaves from the
Jeanne Streiff Collection
Embellishments: Bling Brads in clear
Others: Brayer & White gel pen

Diagonal Double Pocket Card

Hi! Here is a card I made once again breakin out the Scor-Pal! It's a double diagonal pocket card! Sound fun huh? Well...it sure was fun to make! I'm not entirely happy with it...but I do love the design! You can find the tutorial HERE! I'm not to chatty today...:( I'm missing my DD LV who's at a Dodgers game with her teacher and classmates...also I'm using her laptop and there's a pic of her as a background...lol. I'm also nursing a pulled stomach muscle that had been bothering me for a few days and I couldn't stand straight or inhale properly. Thankfully I went to the dr. to check out what was wrong and I was prescribed rest and a heat pad. Could you imagine me on the couch with a heat pad when we're having warm temps? YIKES! Anwho...hope you like this card I made. I'll have it handy for anyone having a baby...lol. What's neat about it is the tags you can pull out and journal in it.

Supplies:
CS/Paper: GGuava, WWhite, & Marcella By K. Bungalow DP
Ink: Black Staz-On & Prismacolor Markers
Stamps: Angel Boy (could be girl?) from RubberNecker Stamp Oasis & Small Sayings
Embellishments: Bling
Others: Lg. star punch, sm. star punch, round tab punch, oval colluzzle, corner rounder (for scallops), & Scor-Pal

Card I've Made For Swaps

I have been on a card making frenzy before I have to put away my stuff! I have in total made 6 cards per swap for 5 swaps...and 9 more I need to knock off before I even THINK of signing up for more. Plus I'm going broke on postage stamps because I have to put gas in my car...at $4.27 a GALLON!!! I may have to sell my body to the night just to fill up my car...LOL...which is a very big gas gusling Expedition! YIKES! Anywho...on to the cards!

This card here is for a swap called Gaudy Goodness! I don't know what I was thinking when I signed up...maybe that I wanted to be a friend to a new hostess by the name of sbailiff who joined 2 of my swaps I hosted...it's called payback! Anywho...I tried and I tried and I tried some more to make non matching cards...but go so upset when I couldn't make anything "non matching and ugly" LOL! So I resorted to this when my SIL came to mind. She's always wearing outrageous bright colors and carried a "goldish" Coach bag. She's "extravagant" in colors...but I don't know if that would qualify as gaudy. Anywho...let me know what you think! Rubber stamp is from Rubber Necker colored in using Prismacolor markers.
This one here is for a "For The Girls" swap hosted by Tdean at SCS as well. I am SO loving those Rubber Romance divas and I can't get enough of them! This diva is all blinged out and ready to hit the town and be FABULOUS!!! She is colored in with Prismacolor markers as well. DP is Rockstar by DCWV and her bling is Icicle stickles. What a hottie huh?
This one here is for the "Let's Polka" swap. You have to use ANY kind of "polka dots". I decided to use my newly arrived Tart & Tangy set from SU and their DP. The strawberry was stamped twice...once in RRed and the other in GGreen. I trimmed the leaves and stem to piece it. Then I Versamarked the tip of the strawberry using the Versamark pen and sprinkled it with Gel-A-Tins Chocolate Bliss EP and heat set it...the smell was YUMMILICIOUS!!! To go along with the polka dot theme...I did some dots on the scalloped punch and the scalloped edges. Looks yummy huh?
This one I made for a "Birthday" swap. It was yet another payback for the hostess...Angs...joining my swaps. Plus...I could use some birthday cards when I can't whip one out at the last minute. With this card, I decided to try again what I learned from Beate...using partial CB embossing and embossing a line with the Scor-Pal. I like to pick up new things...fortunately I did good with this one...lol...I can't say that with other techniques. The bottom part of the cake was embossed with Gel-A-Tins Chocolate Bliss EP and man that smell that lingered in my craft room for a while was HEAVEN!!! LOL!
And last but not least...I made another set of cards for a swap...unfortunately I can't post it here as I don't want to get flagged!!! It's for a swap called the Dirty Shank hosted by jessthenurse over at SCS. This swap is NOT for the easilly offended...and I made mine somewhat offensive and if the owner of Rubber Romance or Kristi of Hanna stamps comes across it...lol...I wouldn't want then to feel ashamed I made THAT card with their stamps. HOWEVER...if you're not weak and want to see it...email me and I'll forward the pic. WARNING though...it is a bit "graphic" on the sentiment...but the images are tame. Just to let you know...Mikey is in the tub with Babs! ;) That's ALL I'll reveal! :P

If You Like Pina Colada...

I know I do! YUMM!!! LOL! Hello...here is a tile "coaster" of a series of 6 for a swap on SCS. I have always love "altering" or stamping on other stuff other than paper...but hadn't done it in a while so I had to join the swap to break me out of the norm and stamp on something other than the daily paper. What do you think? The image was stamped using black Staz-On and then heat set and left to rest for 5 minutes. I colored the image in using Prismacolor Markers and white gel pen (for the "drink"). Tile was inked with SU's YYYellow as the background. I then filled the glass in with Diamond Glaze and once dried...I went over the curve of the glass with the white gel pen. Cherry is masked using a Post-It. Tile was sealed with Krylon Satin finish coat.

Supplies:
CS: NONE

Ink: Black Staz-On, YYYellow, white gel pen, & Prismacolor Markers
Stamps: Happy Hour from Rubbernecker
Embellishments: Diamond Glaze
Others: Tile

What stamps resemble YOU?

Well this one here from Rubber Romance resembles me...all except she's missing the double chin and the lip piercing...lol. This was made for a "What Stamp Resembles You" swap over at SCS. I purchased about 4 stamps that I thought "resembled" me...but this one really captures me! Hey...even the sentiment says lots about me! NO...I'M NOT AN ALCOHOLIC!!! But I do like some good cocktails to chill-ax. So, is there a stamp that resembles you? I would LOVE to see. I know...I've seen your pictures for those that have them on their profiles...but I would love to see if there's a stamp out there that screams..."OMG...THIS IS ME!" If you do have one...let me know, I would love to check it out! *smiles*
Supplies:
CS: BBlack, TThyme, RRust, & White NON SU/DP is from digital pack
Ink: BBlack & Prismacolor Markers
Stamps: April Martini Girl from Rubber Romance & sentiments from Rubber Necker
Embellishments: jewel & dew drops
Others: faux photo corners

Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls

Ok...I'm such a dork...but I was listening to TLC. LOL! Anywho...I made 6 of these babies for a swap I'm in at SCS that calls for and "interactive" card so I chose to use the waterfall techie! I used RubberNecker stamps for this one as I thought it would go PERFECT with this technique. I hadn't made a waterfall card in a while, so I had to add some of that lubrication oil on the ol' rust bucket (my head of techies) and put it to action! I can't wait for my Scor-Pal to come once my pusher AKA Joani places my order...lol. It's so much easier than to be moving the paper up and down the trimmer I use to score...UGH! Anywho...whatcha think?

Supplies:
CS: BBlack, RRose, & WWhite
Ink: BBlack & Prismacolor markers
Stamps: Cocktails (?) from RubberNecker
Embellishments: ribbon & pink bling
Others: Spots & Dots CB folder & slot (?) punch

Playing With New Toys!!!

So hubby found out that I went shopping for stamps...AGAIN...and so he gave me an ultimatum...in order for me to buy new stamps...I MUST ink the new ones as soon as they got here! So being a compliant wife...ahem...I did! Here are the cards I made with "some" of my new toys. I've still got more toys to ink up.

This one here was made as a CASE from the PaperTreyInk gallery made by Debbie Olson. The changes I made were the colors and card base. I also stamped in darker ink what is stamped inside the larger of the circles instead of adding brads. I love this new set! If you wana pick this one up, it's called Spiral Bouquet.

Supplies:
CS: BBayou, SSky, & White NON SU
Ink: BBayou, White craft, SSky, & OOlive
Stamps: Spiral Bouquet
Embellishments: ribbon & brad
Others: Circle Coluzzle, Giga scalloped punch, Mega scalloped punch, & paper piercer

This one is also from PaperTreyInk...I LOVE the versatility of their sets and LOVE how they come in the CD cases. It's also another case! I know...I'm not being original, but my muse is somewhere comfy where ther is NO RAIN! This set is called Out On A Limb and it is beautiful! This card was CASE'd from the PTI gallery as well from Nichole Heady. I think I MURDERED it...lol. Still...I like it! It looks serene and clean with not too many layers...something I'm trying to step back out of.
Supplies:
CS: PPom, GGuava, & White NON SU
Ink: C2Cocoa, PPom, & GGuava
Stamps: Out On A Limb
Embellishments: ribbon (dyed with GGuava ink)
Others: N/A

Now this on here is a bit different from any card I've made! This one reflects who I am. Who am I...a rock loving, tattoo bearing, rock 'n rollin' chick! This card was made with stamps from 2 different companies. The gal is from Rubbernecker.com by Stamp Oasis from the Aussie Girls collection. No, I know I'm NOT Aussie...lol...but dangit, who am I to NOT purchase such lovely looking stamps! Plus, I was looking for a stamp that "resembles" me for a swap. This was as close as I could get...although I WISH I had this gals body! LOL! The sparrow stamps & banner are from Bombshell Stamps...if you haven't checked them out...you MUST! Especially if you're a "50's tattoo" person. They even have tattoo ink to stamp your body!!! I called this card Hate That I Love You! Now to make 6 more of these for the swap!! YOUCH!!!
Supplies:
CS: PPom & White NON SU
Ink: Black Staz-On & Prismacolor Pencils
Stamps: Monique by Stamp Oasis & Love & Luck by Bombshell Stamps
Embellishments: NONE
Others: Snips scissors, gamsol, stumps, & blender

How 'bout a drunken frog? LOL!

I made this card for a swap and I thought it was a hoot so I had to post it. Nothing like a partied out frog. Notice the background...I think froggie had too much to drink! YIKES! LOL! TFL!

Sorry I've been away for a while...I've just had to deal with rain, headaches, and not to mention a swap I have open and 1 closed over at SCS. So I'm trying my best to hang in there and tough it out with a cold, headache, and insomnia!

On another note...I just got a new shipment of stamps from Rubbernecker, Addicted To Rubber Stamps, Bombshell Stamps, & have some from Paper Trey Ink coming in, as well as some sets I bought from Jen. So be on the lookout for more cards in the near future! *wink*

I'm so ready to get some new froggies they have...lol. Do you see a pattern here? All those SCS'rs are horrible to my wallet, pocket, and bank account! AHHHH! Anywho...I love this froggie! I'm working on another froggie to send to a friend who i KNOW LOVES frogs! You know who you are...MUAH!!! I did run into a little wall though, but I managed to jump over it by improvising! HA! Ok...the wall...I RAN OUT OF BBANANA CS!!! So I thought and thought until I cramped my brain and said DUH...just use the ink! *rolls eyes* Whatcha think? Thanks for looking!
