The last of the caddies...until I make another...lol!

Yes...here is yet another caddy I made for a Twilight series swap I'm in...we're on Eclipse right now! I signed up for both a card spot and an ABAC spot. I was stuck on idea for the ABAC's until I re-read the book again and kinda wished I was being "kidnapped" by Alice and given a mani-pedi! I guess I wanted to do something out of the ordinary...something not expected and so I made these! I wanted to go all out because I doubt I'll be joining anymore swaps even after the ones I'm in are done. I just got myself into something that's taking lots of my time away from crafting and I hope the HO's understand. You can find the tutorial HERE!

I'm a bit stuck on the cards and they're due July 1st...I have the idea and what not...but I can't seem to unstick myself from the blank canvas and come up with a nice LO. Must be that I'm just feeling tired both mentally and physically now. Oh well...I hope I can push them out soon because I have to make 6. YIKES!

Ok...I just escaped to autopilot this post so I apologize my lack of blah blah! :P Maybe it's a rest for ya huh? ;) I'll post again soon...like I said...sporadically! Continued thanks for the kind words! HUGS!!!

Copics used:

WOO HOO...a very special Saturday Blog Challenge! Are you up for it?

Ok...so what's so special about THIS Saturday? WELL...we have Maria Bell (shreeks) as one of the guest judges!!! WHAT??? How cool of Maria to accept being guest judge...she is not just a great friend...but OMG her talent is AMAZING!!! I'm lucky enough to own a few pieces of her work too! Well...again...how cool of her to accept?

Joni is hosting this Saturday challenge and it's a good one...a sketch by none other than Maria! I hope I did it justice! It's a bit busy...but I don't know...I like somewhat busy cards! I know I know...not everyone likes to fry their brain on elements overload...but it's nice to fry your brain once in a while...NO? Maybe it's just me...lol. Anywho...since I LOVE monkeys...I had to use this ADORABLE digi stamp created by the awesome artist Dustin Pike! If you haven't seen his digi stamps...OMG you're missing out on a treat! He's so fabulous...he has offered up some of his images...FOR FREE!!! Get out of here...who does that with awesome images? So go ahead and create a card using the sketch provided and then upload your card to SCS with the keyword BLOGC7! Then Joni will announce the winner next Saturday, April 18th!

Now go and check out what Joni and Melissa made! I'm sure it's gonna be awesome!

The image background came to be by accident...and I'm glad I messed up and made that little accident! What I wanted to do was just outline the image and "shadow" it like CandiceL from SCS does...well...it didn't turn out exactly like how I had envisioned it...so I ended up just coloring in the background! When I was done I did a 'hand to forehead' slap because I could have used the Air Brush can! I sometimes wonder if these things only happen to me...lol. So then when I was putting the card together...I thought it was too blue around the monkey and decided I would go in with a dauber and add some green under him to make it look like there's some grass below him. Whatcha think?

Let's monkey around Monday!

LOL...don't laugh at my title...I think it's the pain meds still from last night...lol! So...this card I had made for the MFT Idol and I just had regrets and withdrew it because all the entries were toooo awesome to compete. Plus in my funk...this is NOT my best work! So here you have my MFT Idol reject...rejected by moi! I hadn't used this set in a while so I said what the heck! I'm gonna save it for DH when I feel like monkey-ing around with him...lol. The baubles were suppose to be my poor attempt at coconuts...HEY...I SAID POOR! LOL! Oh well...I just thought I'd post it since I had nothing else to post until tomorrow...St. Patrick's Day! I think you'll like it! Or so I hope! It's made for my DT position at Bombshell Stamps. It was gonna be an entry for the contest...but instead I just thought I'd share. Check in tomorrow to check it out!

Since I still have my splint on...I'm not gonna make this one long...but as soon as this splint comes off on Thursday...hopefully...I'll post the supplies!

My brain is working overtime...

...so I made this card featured today! With everything cleaned and half way cooked for tomorrow...I have nothing else to do! The gifts are wrapped, the kids are cleaned and fed...so as I sat here bored out of my mind...I put my hands to good use! I had these designs in my head for Melanie's tee's last night as I went to bed. This is when I get good ideas...although sometimes when I wake up...I've forgotten! Not the case this morning! I drew out what went thru my mind and BOO-YAH...these creations came to life...and EXACTLY as I had seen them in my head. That's a new one! Usually what's in my head never comes out like what goes on paper...not this time!!! YAY...my inner Santa is giving me an early gift to unwrap! The other card I made I'm gonna out-pilot for New Years Eve...I'm SOOOO excited for you to see that one...so please come back then! For now...here's the card I made to share today! I'm sure many can relate to the sentiments...lol!

So you can't decide whether to be naughty or nice...well...neither can I! LOL! Hence this card! Santa will have to deal with whatever Gabby he gets tomorrow night when he come to drop off the goodies! ;) LOL! Hey...didn't I tell you these tees are so much fun to play with??? You gotta get them if you don't have them...you will NOT regret it! I promise! And I'm not saying it because I was a guest designer for Melanie...I'm saying it cause I mean it!

Here I stamped the first tee on to Ridin' Hood Red, then the next on Kiwi Kiss, and the last on Bright White then colored in with Prismacolor "Buff" for the flesh. Notice the cleavage? ;) The naughty tee had it's sleeves cut off to make it sexy looking and gave it a neckline...down to there...yeah! Then I hand drew the Santa belt and went in with the Liquid Applique' to create the puff. The nice tee I colored in the sleeves with Prismas and stamped the trees from Studio G (December). Added some Stickles and WA-LA insta Christmas tee!!!

I bet you're wondering where this "energy" came from...well...it came from going to Maria's blog! She's always making these gorgeous creations and they're always so bold and "full"! Maria was my upline when I was a demo...she also became my friend when I found her on eBay and invited her to my MSN card group. Her work is EXQUISITE! It's thanks to her that I grew in my stamping abilities. I hadn't visited her blog in AGES...but thanks to the newly discovered widget...the following one...I decided to jump on over!

Anywho...I hope you've enjoyed this blah blah for the evening...lol.

The categories are Naughty, Nice, & Funny! OMG you wouldn't even imagine what my naughty one was! Unfortunately what was gonna go on the shirt design didn't fit. :( OMG it would have been PERFECT and sure would have made some blush! I'm sure it's a card Dirty Shank would be so proud of! It was actually made for an MFT Guest Designer challenge. It's a chance for me to...and only wish of course...on becoming at least a one month guest designer for one of my favorite stamp companies. I laugh everytime I use these Who's That Girl? stamps because...eeek...they have no heads!!! But OMG they are so much fun to play with. I inked up this set JUST for this challenge. I had something completely different in mind when I started this card out...but hanging at the release party and being given a little shove by my girl Joy...I had to tweak it up a bit! What's Up Cupcake?

I know I'm probably late on the cupcake train...but I couldn't resist making this card (a series of 6) for a swap. This image is just to darn cute to NOT use! It took me 2 hours + to make these 6 cards...but I wanted to make sure the images weren't colored ugly with streaks...so I used a different white CS for this (I get more "streaks" when I use SU's WWhite). This paper is more absorbent than SU's WWhite. I may have to get more of the CS! Hmmm...Target here I come! ;) I used one of my own card maps to make this card. Not quite how I had it in mind...but still happy with the end result. OH...and I used PirPink...the new SU pink for the In Colors! Also something new I'll be starting to post...since a lot of my friends have liked how I color my images...they've picked up some Prismacolor markers...so in case they see a color they like and want to use...I'll have the colors I used...so here goes!

Prismacolor markers used:
Crimson Red (cherries)
Blush Pink (cupcake frosting)
Leaf Green (cherry stems)
Dark Brown (cupcake "chips")
Walnut (cupcake)

I'm SOOO SORRY!

I want to first apologize for my lack of posting. For one...I had very bad news presented to me having to do with my financial status...too long and whinney to even talk about it...but just know that I am now $1000 a month poorer and living in California...that's depressing! So...since I got that news...I have been TOO bummed to do ANYTHING! I haven't stamped or made ANYTHING and that alone has driven my mojo into non-existance. Today I got a PM on SCS though from a DF about a card of mine she received in a swap we were in and she gave me such wonderful praise that motivated me enough to work on something today. So I'm posting these things I've worked on in the past just so you know I'm still here. I will get back to checking out your blogs as well...just be patient with me. *smile* Ok...so here are some cards and ABC's I've worked on for swaps and RAK's! I'll add detail soon! *smile* However...I have been helping my DD create a new blog to post about her time at the Jonas Brothers concert...and well...our love for the Jonas Brothers. She made her first ever banner!!! I'm so proud!

This one is for an AMUSE swap!

For a Sweet Things swap!

For a Gina K. swap!

second spot in the Gina K. swap

For a Bella swap!

and this one is a RAK made for a daughter of a good friend of mine who was going thru a hard time with a skin condition...poor lil momma! She's girly girl...so what's better than pink!?

Bella Rocks Out

Hi! Here is a card I made a few days ago for a swap I'm in on SCS. It's another Scor-Pal project I had to try out...a gate fold card with band. I LOVE this Bella because it's so me...and like my DD as well. We're contemplating getting her an electric guitar for Christmas because she really likes to play...so in a way this represents my girl. She also wants pink highlights in her hair...but that's a NO GO! I'll get her some extensions...but no hair dye! LOL! Once again I'm not to chatty...but I just thought I'd post since I haven't in a few days. Hope you like and thanks for stopping by!

CS: PPom, BBlack, & Watercolor paper
Ink: Black-Stazon & Prismacolor Markers

Card I've Made For Swaps

I have been on a card making frenzy before I have to put away my stuff! I have in total made 6 cards per swap for 5 swaps...and 9 more I need to knock off before I even THINK of signing up for more. Plus I'm going broke on postage stamps because I have to put gas in my car...at $4.27 a GALLON!!! I may have to sell my body to the night just to fill up my car...LOL...which is a very big gas gusling Expedition! YIKES! Anywho...on to the cards!

This card here is for a swap called Gaudy Goodness! I don't know what I was thinking when I signed up...maybe that I wanted to be a friend to a new hostess by the name of sbailiff who joined 2 of my swaps I hosted...it's called payback! Anywho...I tried and I tried and I tried some more to make non matching cards...but go so upset when I couldn't make anything "non matching and ugly" LOL! So I resorted to this when my SIL came to mind. She's always wearing outrageous bright colors and carried a "goldish" Coach bag. She's "extravagant" in colors...but I don't know if that would qualify as gaudy. Anywho...let me know what you think! Rubber stamp is from Rubber Necker colored in using Prismacolor markers.
This one here is for a "For The Girls" swap hosted by Tdean at SCS as well. I am SO loving those Rubber Romance divas and I can't get enough of them! This diva is all blinged out and ready to hit the town and be FABULOUS!!! She is colored in with Prismacolor markers as well. DP is Rockstar by DCWV and her bling is Icicle stickles. What a hottie huh?
This one here is for the "Let's Polka" swap. You have to use ANY kind of "polka dots". I decided to use my newly arrived Tart & Tangy set from SU and their DP. The strawberry was stamped twice...once in RRed and the other in GGreen. I trimmed the leaves and stem to piece it. Then I Versamarked the tip of the strawberry using the Versamark pen and sprinkled it with Gel-A-Tins Chocolate Bliss EP and heat set it...the smell was YUMMILICIOUS!!! To go along with the polka dot theme...I did some dots on the scalloped punch and the scalloped edges. Looks yummy huh?
This one I made for a "Birthday" swap. It was yet another payback for the hostess...Angs...joining my swaps. Plus...I could use some birthday cards when I can't whip one out at the last minute. With this card, I decided to try again what I learned from Beate...using partial CB embossing and embossing a line with the Scor-Pal. I like to pick up new things...fortunately I did good with this one...lol...I can't say that with other techniques. The bottom part of the cake was embossed with Gel-A-Tins Chocolate Bliss EP and man that smell that lingered in my craft room for a while was HEAVEN!!! LOL!
And last but not least...I made another set of cards for a swap...unfortunately I can't post it here as I don't want to get flagged!!! It's for a swap called the Dirty Shank hosted by jessthenurse over at SCS. This swap is NOT for the easilly offended...and I made mine somewhat offensive and if the owner of Rubber Romance or Kristi of Hanna stamps comes across it...lol...I wouldn't want then to feel ashamed I made THAT card with their stamps. HOWEVER...if you're not weak and want to see it...email me and I'll forward the pic. WARNING though...it is a bit "graphic" on the sentiment...but the images are tame. Just to let you know...Mikey is in the tub with Babs! ;) That's ALL I'll reveal! :P

This Bella is SUSPENDED!!!

No...she's not suspended from beachy fun...but she IS suspended on this card! LOL! I have NEVER tried this technique before...so I am QUITE pleased with the outcome. I made 3...2 for a swap and one for me to keep...but I got so excited spinning this Bella TOO MUCH that whoopsy...the floss slipped right out!!! *GASP* LOL...that's what I get for playing with my cards! I used my Coluzzle to make these since I'm still waiting for an update on Paper Trey for the complete Nestabilities sets. Whatcha think?

Supplies:
CS: CCaribbean, SSun, & White non SU
Ink: BBlack, CCaribbean, SSun, CCaramel, & Prismacolor Markers
Stamps: BeachaBella, Sparkling Summer, Sand (unknown vendor) & Twisted Sentiments (MFT)

I've censored it here for those easily offended...I don't want to offend anyone...but if you click on the censored picture, it'll direct you to the actual picture in my Photobucket! Coaster Post It Notes Holder

I made this post it notes holder last night after seeing some real cool ones on SCS. I have tons of coasters...so what to do with them? They have been stored for quite some time now and now is the time to break them out again. I'm gonna make more of them to sell in my Etsy store...but I am gonna take my time because I have other crafting/stamping stuff to attend to FIRST! I'll probably end up making these when my kids are on Spring Break so my DD LV can help me. They are so easy to make. I'll see if I have some time to post my tutorial on making these. In the meanwhile...what do you think? This one is part of the blog candy goodies! It comes with a mini pen inside. (You can see that on the picture for the blog candy)

Thursdays Way To Challenge...DOUBLE WHAMMY!

Hey there, still battling the blood sugar levels and I think they're finally going up because I'm feeling lots better. So anyways, today's "Way To" challenge over at SCS was to use embossing powder in any way shape or form and I tried out 2 techniques, the cracked glass technique & the embossing resist! I had tried the cracked glass before, but I guess I was too anxious to see the results, I didn't leave it in the freezer long enough and I didn't get the "cracked" effect like I wanted it too...however, it did turn out fair. I wonder if I still have it in my files! Anywho...these cards I made today I think, in my own opinion of course, are great! I love them very much...especially the embossing resisit one. I love that look! Anywho...thanks for looking!
