Makeup 4 The Weekend #26

Hello all and HAPPY FRIDAY! TGIF right? I know I'm thankful it's Friday! I've been having a semi-rough week feeling yucky and what not.

Anywho...today if Friday which means it's time for another Paper Makeup Stamps Makeup for the Weekend challenge! This weeks challenge is brought to you by Christi S. The challenge is this inspiration piece. It's beautiful right? Well I made this card inspired. :D It's been a while since I did some piecing...so this was pretty cool to break out again! Oh...and isn't that sentiment true? LMBO!!!

EDIT TO POST: I am so sorry I forgot to add the link of the stamp set I used for this card. As soon as I can handle getting up out of bed without feeling nausea I'll post it. I will let you know it's called Tinas Kitchen and it's available at Paper Makeup Stamps! Links to come soon!

K...I wont keep you long. I'm feeling like a freakin' narcoleptic recently and so I'm headed to sleep before I do something stupid in the house...lol. I almost dropped my camera into the washer...don't ask! Also...I almost wore different shoes to drop off Lizzie to school! LOL! I know...

Hope to see you play along! I don't know when I'll be posting again up until Tuesday...so if I don't post until then...have an AMAZING weekend!

Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop! #7

Hello and welcome to another week in the Bombshell Stamps Blog Hop! This weeks theme is "paper piecing"! Challenge was given to us by our hop captain Miss Angela AKA Inky Button! I love paper piecing but I'm not great at it. Love how you can "dress up" an image. Here's are more deets! BTW...I think I've already screwed this up! I'm not absolutely sure...but I think all month of October we're suppose to use black, orange, green, and (optional) purple...OOPS!

This challenge is perfect for those leftover scraps of DP that you just can't throw away. Now you can put them to good use! Instead of hoarding these precious pieces, stamp your favorite image directly onto the paper and cut it out. Voila! You have the perfect patterned paper to compliment your favorite Bombshell stamp.
Remember leave a comment on each of the DT's blogs for a chance to win some FABULOUS Bombshell Goodies:

Here is my card for the theme! I'm sorry girls if I screwed it up! I'll make sure to use the colors next round! *red in face*

I love Angel! She is perfect for piecing! Today I wanted to turn her into "La Arana Viuda"...the "Black Widow"! Don't get caught up in her web or else... Doesn't she look as if she's in prison for murdering her DH and looking through the windows to maybe en*trance one of the prison guards? LOL! I know...*shakes head*

I also used this hop to participate in The Pink Elephant challenge which was a sketch challenge!

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to stop by the other Bombshell Hump Hotties and leave them some love!

Starbucks Obsessed?

Well...yes! I need to have my Sbux daily or I'm a mad woman! Really...I am! I think it's kicking the butt (cigarette that is) that's now got me hooked on the Bux! But I think this is better than the nicotine...right? Anywho...here I made these ATC's for a swap on SCS hosted by one of my all time crazy @$$ favorite Ho's...Kelli Jo! :P It's funny because it also coincides (how ever you spell that...lol) with the challenge Jessica (Knutsen on SCS) of There She Goes posted! Man...these stamps are awesome! Check her out! I have a link on the sidebar on where to drop some $bucks$! So worth it! I placed my second order last night and can't wait to play with my new stamps. I also can't wait for the release! :D

I hadn't made ATC's in a good minute...so it was pretty cool to break out of the cards. Now to create my second set of ATC's! To the thinking chamber...BUM BUM BUM! :P

I was on Project Runway this weekend!

Yeah...I wish! But I did get to play with the FABULOUS Anya to dress her up for Marie's Anya Fashion Show over at The Greeting Farm gallery. I can say that I'd rather stick to these models who don't give me lip when they don't like a certain outfit...plus...I'm glad Anya wouldn't throw a phone at me...lol. I know you got that one! LOL! Doing this fashion show thing made me feel like I was 8 all over again! I remember I use to LOVE playing dress up with my Barbie dols and with paper dolls. Ahhhh...those were the days. I remember I asked my dad for a sewing machine so I can make my Barbie's clothing...AND OMG...HE BOUGHT ONE FOR ME FOR MY 9th BIRTHDAY!!! I love fashion...but haven't really followed up on it. I even made my own clothing...YES...AT 9!!! I'll have to dig up some pictures of the clothing I made for myself...lol. Anywho...playing in the fashion show was TOO MUCH FUN and I know Lisa (the judge) must have had a serious had time picking the winner. All the entries were FABBY!!! I mean DANG...I couldn't even pick a favorite...it was just too hard! I am glad to say that one of my girls over on SCS...and a fellow HO...won!!! Check out her card! Congrats Susan!

Anywho...here are my 3 entries!

Entry #1 is Mardi Gras Anya! I had an idea brewing in my head that I wanted to make Anya into Masquerade Anya...but when my vision didn't come thru quite as I wanted...I scrapped that idea and made a turn around down Bourboun St...lol...and thought Mardi Gras Anya would be better than a dark "masquerade-ish" Anya. Plus...I couldn't find my feathers...lol. I had freehanded a few masks but nothing I liked...so I Googled Mardi Gras masks and saw this incredible one with a butterfly and knew I had to re-create that one! SOOOO...I broke out my Bombshell stamp set that has these FABBY butterflies from Butterfly Queen and used it as Anya's mask. FUN HUH??? I told you that Bombshell Stamps can be incorporated into other stamps! ;) Check out Miss Purple Butterfly at Mardi Gras...she even has beads but got them the right way...not the wrong one! IYKWIM? ;) LOL!

Prismacolor markers used:

Supplies:
CS/DP: BBlack, EEggplant, PPlum, & Bright White
Ink: BBlack & Prismas

Embellishements: paper flower, flatback bling, gold glass beads, gold foil stickers, & hat pin
Others: ticket corner punch & floss

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Entry #2 is Teen Denim Anya! She was inspired by my DD...well...I guess both inspired me! LV with the color streaks in her hair and Lizzie with the clothing. LOL! For this Anya...I pieced her clothing using patterned paper in my scraps crate that needed some use so I can cut down the mountain of scraps. I knew I had some denim like PP/DP and so the idea of the denim skirt came! First I was gonna make a tutu because LV wants to wear one of those with leggings to her next Jonas Brothers concert...it's a fad with these teenie bopper kids to wear that to a JB concert. I honestly don't like it...but whatevs! LOL...notice I'm talking like a tween! ACK!!! Anywho...I took the denim PP once it was on Anya and I used a soft file from SU to distress it for that worn look! I even gave her some leggins like the ones both LV and Lizzie use...lol. Oh...and check out her flip flops!!! She was made on a last minute thing so I broke out my old reliable sketches! Some may recognize this sketch...those that enters one of my blog candy challenges! Remember...the one I used Hanna as a sample? Speaking of blog candies...I'll be having one soon! I don't know exactly when as I want to be 100% here...but soon! Maybe for my birthday or maybe my wedding anniversary on 2/21.
Prismacolor markers used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: PPom, Denim, Magenta stripes, Bazzil Bling Blue, Bazzil Bling Magenta, & Bright White
Ink: BBlack & Prismas
Stamps: Dress Me Anya
Embellishments: Prima flowers and flatback bling
Others: Stickles in Hot Pink (?) and white gel pen
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Entry #3...a digi card! Marie has 3 awesome Anya's in digi format that I picked up. Here I used Alice Anya and gave her a digi makeover! All "paper" and "embellishments" are from the Digital Scrapbook Place...a place I've been a member of since 2005 I think. I love to digi scrap...so I had to make one of my entries a digi card. Alice Anya was colored using PSP.

Tees & Hoodies & Sentiments OH MY

Well...MelMel AKA Melanie Muenchinger of Gina K. is at it again! She is releasing a new set of sentiments to fit in the Little Tees and Just So Sporty sets and I am super stoked! I just can't get enough of these sets and LV the same! Here are a few cards made by both myself and LV as we get ready for the upcoming release!!! What do you think? Do you like these hoodie and tees? Look for the I {heart} my Tees banner and click on it! Also...if you're up for a challenge...buy some! ;) In the near future I'll be hosting an SCS swap for these in case you're interested!!!

This one here is one I made for a challenge MelMel is hosting to be able to win the new upcoming set. I made it for my mom as she is my super hero. Even though she's going thru what she's going thru...she is still full help when it comes to my dad. This woman is unbelievable! She also dresses like this...so I had to make something fitting...lol. I stamped the tee 3 times...once on the DP and twice on the Kiwi CS. I just trimmed here and there to put the outfit together! I also added buttons using flat back rhinestones. Cute huh?

Ugh...for some reason...blogger picture upload isn't cooperating with me...so these pictures are coming out HUGE so I had to manually resize! Sorry if the pictures may look grainy! Hope they get it together soon!!!

Here is a tee card LV made...I think I mentioned this one before...the one she made using glow-in-the-dark paint...it's adorable! She stamped the shades and then went over the eye part with the paint. Leave it in the light for a while and then shut off the lights and WOW...lol...it glows!!!

Now here is a hoodie card she made. Since she ran out of her shrinky dinks...she resorted to stamping a small guitar I picked up for her at ATS. Boy did she give me work on this one. I had to snip it for her! AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! It was horror as I had to do 6 of them...lol. Either way I love how this card of hers came out! Could you believe she giving ME coloring tips to "inner shade" as she calls it using Prismas??? Yeah...I can now hang my head in shame! LOL!

Cooking up some CUTE fun!

Ok...I am having too much fun with these cupcakes that I HAD to team them up with Hanna! I know this looks like something Hanna would cook up to BOO her friends at a Halloween party! Can't you see it? LOL! She is even in her Halloween's best! She's my new best friend! LOL! When I got the cupcakes and saw Candice's card at Rubbah Soul...it hit me to make a card using these cupcakes! Kiss The Cook Hanna is too cute! Her face just screams OMG!!! I don't know but I think I over did it! The card is not exactly what I had envisioned but it was the idea! I shoulda coulda woulda...whatever...it's DONE! LOL! It looks busy but then again Halloween is busy! All those decorations of jack-o-lanters and vampires and witches...oh my! Wonder if Hanna added something "extra" to that batter brew to enchant a certain someone! See those swirls coming out that bowl? That looks like a pinch of magic to me! ;)

See the tops of those cupcakes...they're gumdrops! LOL! I added some diamond glaze and sprinkled with micro beads to give it that "sugary" look gumdrops have. I love those chewy things! And how cute is Hanna with her pieced apron? I used a scrap of the Creepy Crawly DP I had stored away. I knew I would need it so I didn't throw it away. Then I ask myself WHY I have so many scraps of DP and CS! *rolls eyes* I save even the smallest pieces of DP. They could be 1'' x 1'' and I still think I could use it! LOL! Oh, and I hand drew the witch hat. She was not complete without it! I even drew on some witchy stockings! Whatcha think?

GO, FIGHT, WIN!!!

Yes...I even did it pumping my fist in the air! I am such a Trojan and with weekends game whoppin' they gave to the Buckeyes...I had to make me my USC card to display on my desk! I used Melanie's Just So Sporty NEW set! As soon as I saw it...I KNEW I had to have it! This set is so cool and comes with SO MANY PIECES to work with...it sure is a bang for your buck! I stamped the hoodie twice...once on Summer Sun and another on Robin Hood Red. The background is a pattern I found thru Google pictures and just copy and pasted to print out. I also broke out my CB dies for this one! I hadn't used the dies in a while...so why not dust them off for this card? LV nicely pointed out to me that it looked like it said SUC (as in suck) on the hoodie...LOL...but I don't see it! :P Kid! *rolls eyes* Whatcha think?

College Girl Misses U!

So a dear friend of mine has a daughter in college and she emailed me this weekend to please make her a card to send to her boyfriend. I thought it was funny because I was expecting her to say for her mom...so I said "sure"! She got into details with me about their on going 4 year relationship and about how much she missed him being away across the country and her here on the West coast and haven't seen each other in a year already...so told me more but it's only for my ears...lol...so with what she told me...I made this for her to send to him! Isn't it cute? It was something that just popped me on the back of the head with so much BBlossom CS I have still left over. I used Mel's idea about the pajama pants and took it one step further and made a body!!! YES...I made a body from the TEE!!! Basically I stamped the blank tee 4 times...once on PirPink, on Prints Pack DP twice, and on BBlossom. FUN FUN set I tell ya!!!

Now that the kids are in school...you'll see me around more! YAY!!! Thank HEAVEN for school! LOL!

Ink: BBlack, RRose, & BBlossom (marker)

Finally...my first TEE!

Hi all! Sorry I've been away again. Never-ending drama that's taken me away from stampy time. No but seriously...my dad had a little accident and well...all I have to say is THANK GOD he's doing great!

So...moving on! I finally was able to stamp something last night. I was feeling cranky and took a Valium and well...came up with this card! When I first saw Melanie's Little Tee set...all these ideas came rushing thru my head! This one was the very first one I thought of! I love olives and my momma...so what better way to combine both! ;) Plus...I have so much of this DP in my scraps pile that I hadn't used so I knew I had to use it for this card! I love how versatile this set is!!! Hope to make a couple more today! The background was created using the large olive from the Rubbernecker cocktails collection...cool huh! The shadow for the "body" was created by first using my pencil then I colored it in using Warm Grey. I saw that on Melanie's blog and had to do that to give it a realistic look! Ok...now that I have another fun idea in my head...I better go work on it now before I forget! See ya'll later with another Tee card!

Criss Cross.....Box!!!???

Later in the afternoon yestreday...once CSI was about to start, I started feeling much better and started prepping to make these. Something about that show gets me in the mood to craft...lol...silly I know! I made these in breaks...during commercials! First I printed out the template provided by Nichole Heady, you can find the downloadable template at Nichole's blog! It's right below the 4th picture. While you're at it...check out the beauty she made!!! Ok, once I had the template printed out, I started pre-scoring and folding the CS. Once all was scored and folded, I cut the CS like in her diagram and began to stamp the "background". Next I punched the scallops and circles and stamped the chick in Close To Cocoa onto the white circles so the chickie can have brown hair and brown feet...lol. Next I stamped the chick onto yellow CS non SU using Basic Black, put that aside and stamped the chick again, but this time onto patterned paper. I took that with me to the sofa along with my paper snips to snip the chick and eggshell to later piece them onto the white circle. I did these during commercials...lol. Once I was done with the snipping and the second CSI came on (they have 3 in a row back to back from 6 - 9), I came back to my desk to assemble the boxes and cut the ribbon. By the time the second CSI was over, I was done! I got to enjoy the third episode by just sitting! LOL! Anywho...these were SO MUCH fun to make and I LOVE the outcome if I may toot my own horn! TOOT TOOT! So what do you think? Aren't these the bomb!!!??? These were made for a swap I'm in at SCS...and now I don't think I want to send them out...LOL!
