What a punk and we're off to Disneyland!

Hey all...before we head off to Disneyland thanks to BIL George who works there and gave us passed...I wanted to make sure I left you with a card. I want this to be a record week where I post from Monday to Friday! ;) Who knows when I'll do that again! LOL!

Anywho...this card I made for Club Anya's Getting Punky with it... challenge. Of course I am almost always late...but still...I had morphed my images together to make this punk so I had to color him up and slap him on a card...lol. Can you believe I used 3 digi's to make him? I used Flirty Edward, Joseph, & Dressy Jeremy. I used Edwards head and shaved off part of his hair to give him that mohawk...lol...then I used Josephs top part of his body and Jeremy's pants and eyes to complete my punk. I found some stickers I bought EONS ago and thought they were too cute not to used...they're "safety pin" stickers...lol...cool huh? Also went a bit nuts with the sewing machine as you can tell...lol. It needed to be used again...don't want it to collect dust! After I was done with it...LV told me he kinda looked like the drummer from Green Day...except he doesn't have green and black hair...so with that vision...I drew up a pair of drumsticks! :D He's dope! I have one more Green Day member to make...I already made the drummer on this card...and then the lead singer with this card...now one more to go to complete the band...lol! I've made some pretty awesome musicians huh? From the Jonas Brothers to Axl Rose...lol. Let's see who I make next! ;)

K...by the time you read this I'll be having a blast at Disneyland! I haven't been there in AGES so I'm pretty stoked! :D See you guys tomorrow for Paper Makeup's Makeup for the Weekend! ;)

Paper Makeup Stamps review on "All that I am..."

Hello peeps and welcome to my review of the newest Paper Makeup release! I didn't get to sneak peek this amazing word art...but when I saw it in the store..."All that I am..." I had to get it...in digi cause my hands got anxy! LOL!

When I read it though...I started crying because this has been the ONLY stamp that's out there that really captures who I am. All that I am truly is because of my dear momma. She raised me well and she raised me right and I took cues from her being a mother once I became a mother myself. She may not have been the most exemplar mother out there...but she was a damn good one! No one can ever tell me different. She had her flaws like I'm sure we all do...but I learned from them. But mostly...she had her motherly instincts...and that's what I paid most attention to.

It's funny because there are things I do that I now notice more that I do just like my mom. Even my kids tell me that I'm just like Tita. That makes me happy and I know then I'm making my momma proud. :D So thank you Shaela and Paper Makeup Stamps for setting forth a stamp I'm very happy and proud to own. :D Splitcoast Stampers for color challenge CC266.

Alrighty peeps...I am out! Got a LONG day tomorrow at Disneyland and I still have MANY chores undone...lol!!!

CHA Relay Day 3!

If you're here for the Bombshell HOP...scroll down for the next post...thanks!

Well hello you guys! Second post for today and that's about it...for today! LOL! Yesterday I posted 3 or 4 so I wont flood you with more. Just wanted to show you my card made for the continued CHA Relay. I've made it this far but I'm afraid I may be ending my run soon. My printer is running out of ink and I'm about to cry! :( That's why I'm selling some of my stuff in hopes I can make enough to at least buy some black ink. Speaking of...if you wanna check out my stuff for sale...go HERE!

Now onto my card! I made this baby with a head cold! I'm not 100% happy with it...but I do like it. FIRST...I was in a rush to print him that I miscalculated the size and made him a bit too big for what I had in mind. THEN I resized him...and mind you to the size I needed him...and it printed out faded. :( UGH gimme a break! So in the end...after about 4 hours...I came up with this! Next time I'll try taking some DayQuil BEFORE I attempt to work on anything with a cold. Dang California rain! BUT enough of my whining...I hope it's OK! After all...I love this little guy already and I'm happy I've gotten THIS far in the relay. Now I'm crossing my fingers to have enough ink to print out the next image as soon as I get it. *crossing fingers*

Alright...back to crocheting some stuff to sale. I'm making a bunny that's seriously kicking my butt because my fingers tend to cramp up when I'm working with tight stitches like the ones needed for Amigurumi. *OUCH* Hasta manana!

JUGs Challenge #15- Keeping you in Stitches

Hello all and HAPPY SATURDAY! How is your weekend so far? Mine is great...I'm so looking forward to Monday when the kids go back to school! YAY! I may just throw a party...LOL! They have been making me rip my hair out...they're worst than a day at the ZOO!!! If Ozzy isn't fighting with LV...it's Lizzie fighting with Ozzy or/AND LV. Too much "MOOOOOM" for me! LOL! But I will miss them...BUT I will have my quiet days when they're gone.

Now on to today's JUGs challenge! Today's challenge hosted by Mona is to make any project using the stitching technique! If you already know me...you know how much I love to sew on my cards...so this was my kind of challenge...lol! You can do all kinds of stitching though...you do not need a sewing machine. You can hand stitch, faux stitch, or machine stitch! When you're done with your project...make sure to upload to your blog or online gallery and link up to the JUGs Mr. Linky so we can stop by and be wowed by your work!

For this card I used a cute Skelekinz from Bugaboo Stamps (digi). These are so LV and me! LV picked this image for me to work with. It has her little "emo" stint to it...lol...and it kinda looks like her with just showing one eye with her hair in her face. As much as I hate her hair like that...it covers her pretty face up...she looks beautiful! Check her out! She did her OWN makeup this time. I just helped a bit with the mascara...and letting her know that the best makeup is to make it look as if you're not wearing ANY.

Alright...that's it for today! Have yourselves a GREAT weekend!

Farm Fresh Friday at the Farm!

Hey all and TGIF! Or shall I say TGIFFF! Thank Goodness it's Farm Fresh Friday! ;) Today's FFF challenge at The Greeting Farm is to use the following colors! Take into mind though...if you don't have the exact same colors...please feel free to use whatever you have that's close to it. I mean duh...I didn't even have the colors... Can't wait to see your creations! Remember to upload to the Galleria>Contest/Challenges>Farm Fresh Friday's>CC1...

Here is the card I made for this challenge! I used this adorable guy from the set Sweet Message by Marina Neira for The Greeting Farm. I didn't have Kiwi Kiss or Baja Breeze so I opted for Cool Caribbean & Wild Wasabi. He is colored in with Copics and again I went a bit 'sew crazy' on this card. Back panels are embossed with Cuttlebug folders Swiss Dots & Distressed Stripes. Card is embellished with 6 gold brads.

Make sure you stop by to see what the other girls have done! Cheryl, Jessica, Kadie, Kim, Lisa, Lynda, Sandra, Cindy and Mercy. They have some fabulous cards to show you!!

Now on to some EXCITING news! Club Anya is having...
....An ALL-CUSTOMER HOLIDAY BLOG HOP and RELEASE PARTY!!! Say what? Yup...an all customer holiday blog hop! Go to Club Anya by clicking on the banner below to take you to the sign up page! I know I'm excited!!! Make sure to read the whole post and save the date!
Thanks for stopping by and I apologize for not having too much blah blah. This cold is kicking my butt big time. Thank God there's no fever...but the body aches are SO there! Not to mention the AWFUL nasal constipation! I am feeling somewhat better...but not 100% yet. Still...I can NOT let this cold get in my way!

HUGS

Sweet November in December

Hey peeps...what is up!? Just here still fighting an ugly cold with horrible body aches! I feel like I fought a MACK truck...and LOST! LOL!

So I bought Amy's OH SO CUTE fairies when they released and hadn't used them since so today I want to show you a card I made using Fidget Goblinspider. I made her with some Christmas spirit...she's so ready for the 25th! I made some spots on her hair to match with her dress and filled them in with Diamond Stickles. She was colored with Copics and Prismas. Crocheted flowers are those I bought from Joani's mom Rose. I just got too lazy to make my own...plus I still had the ones I bought...so I had to use those. LOL! alright...back to the couch I go to drink some lemon tea and rub some Vapor-Rub on my chest. Thanks for stopping by!

Already Ms. December AKA MrsETaylor has challenged us to make a card in the spirit of Naughty or Nice! ;) Good one Mrs E.! Most of you who know me...know I have my naughty side...so this challenge is SOOOO me! :P

I decided to go to old reliable and use the 'A Pirates Life' bombshell and 'Holiday Accessory'. Sentiment is computer generated and it says "Dear Santa, You decide!" ;)...LOL! She is colored in with Copics and I've added Fun Flock to the hat, dress trim, & boots. This hottie is ready to receive her nicely wrapped package! ;)

I used Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch #22 for this card. I just flipped it on it's side. I LOVED the sketch...especially that it has a little twist...stitching! Now...if you've seen my last cards...you've seen I've gone a bit sew crazy! LOL! I love my sewing machine and can't believe it was just in a corner collecting dust.

Ok that's it for now! Make sure to follow the other Bombshell Hotties and drop them some love!

I am thankful for my children, my husband, my family in general, the roof over our heads, the foodie in our bellies and last but not least...everyday being graced with the Lords ways of blessing us.

I am also thankful for all my online friends. You are my second family as I seem to let everyone in on my life. Good or bad...you're there and I thank you.

Today as I give thanks I will have you all in my big ol' heart! They better have enough food at the in-laws for all of y'all! LOL!

Winter Fairy

First off I want to thank all who left me a comment yesterday on my amazing news! Everyone on the DT made me feel so welcome and the rest made me feel super warm at heart. I can NOT wait to start my term and can NOT wait for you guys to join me even then.

Now on to today's card. You guys have no idea how much I love fairies...I hardly ever use them in my creations right? Well...those who do know me for a while know I LOVE fairies. They remind me of someone very special to me who I wont go into it because I don't feel like crying. BUT I will say she is the reason for my love with them. Well...when I saw Marie's fairies...I KNEW I had to have them! Being that Autumn and Winter are my favorite seasons...Winter taking top spot...I had to make a card using Winter Fairy. It's also for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge...to use NO DP!!! I also made my very first crocheted snowflake. Not too cute...but I tried...lol! Ok...I am off to nap. I've been up way too long without sleep and really need it! I'll take advantage that the kids get up late. If you want these fairies...you can get your own at the Greeting Farm shop!

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge!

Woo Hoo! I am loving being TMS guest designer! Not only is Melissa a great gal...but her TMS challenges are awesome! Plus her current DT makes the cutest samples ever! I'm loving the company I'm running with! :D I can't thank Mel enough for the opp!

Ok...so here is Mel's challenge with a "TWIST"! This week is NOT a sketch...but a recipe! Make a card using this weeks sponsor's image...which just happens to be the fabulous Mo's Digital Pencil! Have you seen her images??? OMG... I just adore her little kids/children images. Anywho...back to the recipe. The recipe is to use 3 decorative paper, 2 embellishments, & 1 flourish! How fun is that? Here is MY take on the challenge! I used Kai in the Snow! There's something about Kai that I just simply love! Maybe it's those chubby cheeks? I think so! I've used Kai before but back then I used Kai playing in the Leaves and mentioned Kai is a girl. Still...I made this Kai a bit more for a boy because Kai reminds me SO MUCH of my Ozzy when he was little. SAME chubby cheeks Kai has!!! Kai was colored with Copics. My 3 DP's are there even though they may not show much...lol...but they are from a Winter pack from Oriental Trading Co., my 2 embellishments are the metal work and the punches snowflakes, and well the flourish...that's hard to hide! LOL! Make sure to enter what you've cooked up at the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and HAVE FUN creating! Can't wait to see what you've made! See you again next week in my last installment with Tuesday Morning Sketches! :( The sponsor is a FABB-O one!!!

Lily in the Copic Colour Challenge #37

Happy Thursday guys! Today is my ME day again and this time I DO plan on using it for me. I've done 98% of my needed to do chores and I'm ready for company. Turns out now though that my sis wont be here until Sunday night! UGH! Still I did what I had to do in case we get unexpected visitors.

Ok...so I found this blog with Copic colour challenges through Vicky Garett...a cool a$$ chica who's work I adore...especially when she works with the odd kids from Stampotique. This weeks color challenge was to use R20, YG06, & E33. I don't have YG06 so I substituted it with G94. I'm not sure of YG06 TRUE color...so I just guessed to what I thought was the closest. So here is my card for the challenge! I used Lily in Wintercoat digi image from Pink Cat Studio. You can find the E33 in the coat, scarf, hat, & boots...G94 in the coat, scarf, and hat...and the R20 in the birds and Lily's cheeks.

Thanks for looking! Now I'm off to find more challenges I can WORK! :P

Copics:
Supplies:
CS/DP: C2Cocoa, PIPink, VVanilla, GP CS, & Basic Grey Infuse DP
Ink: printer, C2Cocoa, & Copics
Stamps: Lily Wintercoat PCS
Embellishments: button brads, buttons, floss, & cream lace trim
Others: white gel pen, Label 4 Nestie & sewing machine

*Twilight Tuesday Inspirational Challenge Blog Hop*

Hey there and welcome to your next stop on the hop! If you've come from Rebecca's blog...then you're on the right track...if not...jump back to the beginning of the trail at Twilight Tuesday blog for a chance to win some goodies. Just make sure to leave a comment on each blog to be entered.

Did you know Twilight Tuesday is having their first birthday? Well...now you do! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWILIGHT TUESDAY!!! So in celebration they're having a blog hop and have invited their fans and friends to join in. It was an honor to be part of this as some of you may already know that I am a Twi-Freak! :D Me loves me some vamps...especially Jasper!

We're to pick a favorite theme of 51 themes! I chose to make a Jasper inspired card. While everyone goes GA-GA for Edward...not me! Well...I use to! I use to think I wanted someone like Edward but then realized I NEEDED someone like Jasper. In my everyday stressful life...I need a Jasper to 'relax' me. *feels zen* He can mess with my emotions ANY TIME! As long as he uses them to HIS advantage! *wink*

One of my favorite scenes from the movie Twilight is the vampire baseball scene! Gosh Jasper looks HOT when he's twirling that bat! *sigh* Plus my favorite Muse song plays during the scene! ;) So yeah...I made a card using the baseball scene. I used baseball Ian from The Greeting Farm and made my Jasper *sparkle*! *sigh...again* As you can see if you scroll down a bit and look to your right...I have my boy Jackson just above Edward!

So ok...off I go to hop and see what everyone else has come up with! Make sure you wear your shades because I know you'll be dazzled along the way! So now head on over to Sarabeth's blog to continue on the hop! Before you go though...enjoy this clip from my favorite Twilight scene! Oh...and don't forget to buy your New Moon tickets NOW! I already did! :D

OT NOTE: Be sure to join me tomorrow on another hop...the Bombshell Stamps hop! :D Let me just say it goes hand in hand with Twilight. How...remember in the movie where Edward takes Bella to his home and there was a mention of coffins? Well...that's a little tease! ;)

Ok now hop along and make sure to leave some love along the way! Thanks for stopping by!

World Card Making Day Hangover

Hey all...are you still recovering from World Card Making Day? I am...lol...I had a massive hangover! LOL! Seriously...I woke up with a nasty headache and my tummy ached and I felt nausea! LOL! I got over it though checking out the leftover on SCS challenges! :P

I made this card here for the Sugar Nellie challenge. A sketch was issued and I went for it. Plus I haven't used my Gorjuss Girls a lot...so I had to join in on the challenge. Read more about the challenge here: Sugar Nellie WCMD09K. Lately I've been using a lot of sketches to work my card...and I love it because sometimes I can't think of great LO's! I need that extra KICK to get me going. Plus the sketch provided was super fun and out of the "norm" for me. I also decided to break out Big Bertha again since I already got it use to me. LV's been teaching me to use more than just the zig-zag and straight sew on just one card. I swear this girl...UGH! LOL! Now I'm hooked on sewing different patterns.

This next item I made was for the Magnolia challenge! We were asked to make either an ornament OR a card with an ornament hanging. I have TONS of round coasters that I haven't used so I decided to go for it and break those out. I think I'll be making my own ornament using my favorite stamp companies for my tree this year. :D Maybe that'll be my theme this year? We'll see how that goes! Read up on the challenge here: Magnolia-licious Ornaments WCMD09F. Pretty cool eh? ;)

Ok...I'll let you go now! I'm having a major malfunction in my brain...I think I'm losing mojo! I tried to make another card to post tomorrow but can't shake anything out! I need more challenges! LOL! Hopefully I can shake off this bug and keep my mojo. Maybe I'm thinking that in a few days it's my mom's birthday...she would have been turning 73 on the 12th. God I miss her so... :(

10.03.2009

Woo Hoo...post #2!

Great...now I'm rhyming! LOL! I guess that's what World Card Making Day is doing to me! I am in such a great mood today! House is clean...food is cooked...kids are happy coloring images...what more can I ask for? Oh yeah...NOTHING! I have it all today! I'm stamping and coloring and making cards...oh joyful day! :D

So here I just finished this card for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge for week 5. It's titled Sew Happy! I have my fat Bertha (my sewing machine) resting permanently on my desk now and when I saw this challenge thanks to the awesome Vicki of Summerthyme Studio I had to break out Gooseneck to work with when I saw her Stampotique gal! I love her work...but I simple ADORE the things she does with Stampotique stamps by Daniel Torrente. I love those stamps so much that I don't dare use them so I don't wear them out...lol. They remind me of The Nightmare Before Christmas characters...very dark but awesomely interesting! Here I used the lovely Gooseneck. She was actually inspired by the dark Kerli and her music video Walking on Air. I just love that video...it's so me! Here is the video so you can see where I drew inspiration from.

Ok...I'll be back on later again in hope of a third post to reach my personal goal! ;)

Prismas:
Supplies:
CS/DP: BBlack, PPink, MAMBI DP, Fancy Pants DP, & Wausau Bright White CS
Ink: BBlack & Prismas
Stamps: Gooseneck from Stampotique & Dress Me Wardrobe (sent-TGF)
Embellishments: crocheted flowers, brads, lace ribbon trim, pink trim, silver cording, & hardware
Others: Sizzix flourish, leaves punch, Lables 4 Nesatabilities, & sewing machine
