My final Saturday with JUGs!

Hey you guys...first off I want to thank you all for your words and prayers during these trying moments of mine. I feel like I've put you guys already through so much of my crying that I'm actually a bit embarrassed BUT very gracious for all your kind words. What's my crying gonna get me right? Well...I read that somewhere and I thought about it. My answer to that question is...PRAYERS FROM FRIENDS. I am the type of person who's open and confess some stuff about me...but I don't do it for pity or for any gain...I do it because I don't want to feel alone. My family hasn't been there for me...I no longer have my mom to talk to...so what else do I have where I can let me feelings out but blogland with my blog friends. If someone doesn't like that or doesn't think I'm "OK" doing this...you don't have to read and you don't have to comment. See...your prayers and kind words have actually lifted my spirits. After reading comments...I feel I can go on and regain my lost Faith and see a light down the tunnel. I'm seeing more clearly and feel the warmth in my heart. I know I can get though it...with all your thoughts and prayers. THANK YOU!

Now on to this weeks challenge from the girls at JUGs. This week's Wild Card challenge is to make a pennant banner. I have never made one of these...ever...and being down...well the outcome wasn't great. I made it after I got up from a nap after having a little dream about my little girl being in a forest playing with birds. I know...it sounds beautiful! I just wish I could remember it all! It was gonna spell out LIZ but I couldn't find a Z so I just used her first 3 letters in her name. I call her Eli too sometimes. Anywho...I hope it's "OK"...my little sight for sore eyes...lol.

So this is my last week with the girls at JUGs. It was an awesome trip and I thank you guys! You're not getting rid of me just yet though...I'll be around playing with the challenges when I can. Truly though...it was an awesome month! You girls are amazing and I wont forget my time with you all...HUGS all around!

Ok girls...I am gonna end this one short. I just really don't feel blabby like other times. Gonna get up early and go try to find a job...again. Hopefully I have better luck this time around. *crossing fingers*

HUGE CYBER HUGS!!!!!

My Time Made Easy At JUGs with a Sneak Peek or two!

Wow...I feel all giddy as I post this! As you may have read in a past post about my AWE with Lauren's stuff...mostly her AH-MAZING templates and FABULICIOUS talent... Well I'm giddy because I get to work with some of her new stuff being released on Monday, February 1st! Just a day before my birthday! So Happy Birthday To Me! LOL!

Ok you guys...this template if tons of fun because the dress up posibilities are endless! Since it's close to Valentines Day...I made mine a love box! :D OMG and not to mention the cute Critters With Heart stamps ALSO releasing on the 1st at the My Time Made Easy shop... Miss Lauren is a proud momma to!

So this weeks challenge is sponsored by none other than Lauren and has some SWEET BLOG CANDY! She has a $25 gift certificate to the MTME store to one of our participants! Awesome right? You may want to use it to get some of her stamps, templates, or maybe some digital paper put together by both Lauren AND our JUGs girl Kristin!

We (the DT) are each suppose to create a project using the template Happy Mail (releasing 2/01) AND use the stamp set Critters with Heart (also releases 2/01). Here is what I came up with! I tried using Kristin's DP but OMG my ink is so low...I'm resorting to rubber right now...lol. So no digi stuff for me for a bit. I used the CUTE raccoon who just happens to be a heart thief! Notice the jailhouse stripes? LOL! He's got all the stolen hearts captured in the Happy Mail box! I stamped him 3 times to get the desired dimension and surrounded him with flowers (I think he's trying to hide?)! This little box is fully functionable and SO easy to assemble!

Well...that's it for me! Hope to see you play along (details below) and make sure to check out what the AMAZING design team has in store for you! I can't express how thankful I am for being part of their AMAZING team. January is almost over...BUT I will most definitely not forget my time with JUGs! After this Saturday I only have one more Saturday left :(. Thanks again ladies! You're all gems!

Now...in order for you to participate...Lauren has a FREEBIE template you can download called Cutesy Cover to use for your creation OR you can also play along with a template of your own...just make it 3D. Hope you play along with us this week! If you do, leave a link to your creation at the JUGs challenge blog under Mr. Linky! Make sure you type in JUGS17 when uploading to an online gallery like Spiltcoast Stampers and link up to the JUGs blog. Bloggers...head on over to the JUGs challenge blog and link up your project (not just your blog...but your blog post for this challenge...makes it easier for us to find your creation) to Mr. Linky. Remember...to be entered to be Chic Of The Week...you must link your card by Thursday, January 28th by or before 9:00 PM EST!

JUGs Challenge #16- Color Combo

Hello and Happy Saturday! As this post goes LIVE...I am in BED sleeping and will NOT be up until maybe midday! LOL! I'm trying to heal my mind and body with some sound sleep...so when you come by....be vewy vewy quiet! LOL!

Today's challenge is hosted by Kristin! Her color challenge is this: Bravo Burgundy, Blush Blossom, Basic Gray, and Very Vanilla! Yummy colors eh? I actually had a hard time trying to create something WOW...but in the end...I really liked this creation of mine. Mostly because this was the first time I inked up this Gorjuss Girl other than to give images away...lol. I loved playing with her. I just ADORE these Gorjuss Girls! I was sad when I had to sell 3 of them for some quick cash...but I'll hopefully get them back when I can financially.

Anywho...hope you play along with us this week! If you do, leave a link to your creation at the JUGs challenge blog under Mr. Linky! If you play along with us...make sure you type in JUGS16 when uploading to an online gallery like Spiltcoast Stampers and link up to the JUGs blog. Bloggers...when you're done photographing your masterpiece using the above sketch...head on over to the JUGs challenge blog and link up your card (not just your blog...but your blog post for this challenge...makes it easier for us to find your creation) to Mr. Linky. Remember...to be entered to be Chic Of The Week...you must link your card by Thursday, January 21st by or before 9:00 PM EST!

JUGs Challenge #15- Keeping you in Stitches

Hello all and HAPPY SATURDAY! How is your weekend so far? Mine is great...I'm so looking forward to Monday when the kids go back to school! YAY! I may just throw a party...LOL! They have been making me rip my hair out...they're worst than a day at the ZOO!!! If Ozzy isn't fighting with LV...it's Lizzie fighting with Ozzy or/AND LV. Too much "MOOOOOM" for me! LOL! But I will miss them...BUT I will have my quiet days when they're gone.

Now on to today's JUGs challenge! Today's challenge hosted by Mona is to make any project using the stitching technique! If you already know me...you know how much I love to sew on my cards...so this was my kind of challenge...lol! You can do all kinds of stitching though...you do not need a sewing machine. You can hand stitch, faux stitch, or machine stitch! When you're done with your project...make sure to upload to your blog or online gallery and link up to the JUGs Mr. Linky so we can stop by and be wowed by your work!

For this card I used a cute Skelekinz from Bugaboo Stamps (digi). These are so LV and me! LV picked this image for me to work with. It has her little "emo" stint to it...lol...and it kinda looks like her with just showing one eye with her hair in her face. As much as I hate her hair like that...it covers her pretty face up...she looks beautiful! Check her out! She did her OWN makeup this time. I just helped a bit with the mascara...and letting her know that the best makeup is to make it look as if you're not wearing ANY.

Alright...that's it for today! Have yourselves a GREAT weekend!

JUGs Challenge #14-Sketch time baby!

If you already read my crazy almost 1 in the morning post from my iPhone...then you know the big news! If not...HEY...I'M GUEST DESIGNER/CHALLENGER FOR JUGS!!!!!!! I am so stoked to be part of the JUGs for January! They're a semi new challenge blog and they are BOOMING!!! Their design team is magnificent and I feel like I'm playing 9 degrees of separation through them! I have a major craft crush on Lauren Meader...her stuff just BLOWS ME AWAY...so when I'm mingling amongst those in Lauren's company...well by gosh I feel star struck! LMBO! Ok...I'm talking crazy now! I'm on DayQuil and pain meds from last night and then sleep deprived...so don't mind my loopy morning blog behavior! But anywho...when Kristin contacted me if I wanted to be their VERY FIRST guest designer...I couldn't type any faster to reply with a YES YES YES! :D Thanks Kristin and thanks girls for giving me that shot! I'm honored!

Lisa Kind, who just happens to also be one of my kin folk (that cracked me up...I'm telling you...cold + pain meds = one loopy Gabby) for Paper Makeup Stamps is on the JUGs team, well she came up with this awesome straight forward sketch to play with! At first I was like...hmmmm...because like her...I am sketch-challenged...lol...so I guess I took it a bit to literal! I tried playing with different things like flowers and images...but nothing seemed to work. Then I though I'd score some point with Katie *thumbs up & smiles* and used Caffeine Trip from Paper Makeup Stamps! I really liked the coffee house feel to it...well...at least it kinda resembles a coffee house near me with cute doilies and funky wallpaper...lol. IDK...what do you think?

Head on over to check out what they girls have been up to! Leave them some love too!

If you play along with us...make sure you type in JUGS14 when uploading to an online gallery like Spiltcoast Stampers and link up to the JUGs blog. Ok...I am SOOOO headed out back to bed. I may just lay there and watch some TV so I can fall back asleep...I need my sleep! That way there will be a happy Gabby stamping later on! :D Last night before I went to sleep it took me 3 hours to complete ONE card. No...it's not an all out extravaganza of a card...I was just too YUCKY feeling! LOL! Don't want a repeat today! See you all later as I start a resolution...to make my blog rounds!

Happy Monday

Hey all...and Happy Monday! Just a few days away from Thanksgiving huh? God I am so not looking forward to that! BUT I am thankful for lots of things...so I'm putting on my big girl panties and dealing with it. I know my mom wouldn't want to see me crying so I wont upset her!

Today I wanna show you a card I had been meaning to post for a while not. It's such an awesome set by both Kristin Bueter and Tammy Hershberger (sentiments). I won this oh so cool and exclusive digi set for participating in a special challenge at JUGs. It's sooo cool! It has this cute lamp post and some very sweet sentiments!

It didn't quite come out like I had envisioned it...but it's pretty close. I tried to make it look like a view to a Christmas tree from the street. I'll do better next time Kristin! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by...I know...*GASP* Gabby doesn't have much blah blah today...well I'm just not feeling too well. I think I'm about to catch a cold...youch! Make sure to join me tomorrow though for my LAST installment with Tuesday Morning Sketches! It was a fun run...thanks Mel!

5 challenges in 1!

First...GREETINGS FROM CORONA, CA! :)

Just when I think I can't possibly outdo myself in challenges...last one was 4 in 1...now I added 1 more!!! :O Can you tell I like to more than double dip when it comes to challenges? LOL! I do!

Anywho...I'm here at the in-laws home house sitting without Oscar and I'm bummed. They left to Bakersfield and will be back in the morning. So I brought with me my stuff to craft or else I'll go crazy! My MIL was laughing because she thought my craft cart was my luggage bag and said to me that I was only staying for one day. She cracked up even more when I showed her what was inside! XD I know...nuts huh? Still it's entertaining me while the kids are playing with my BIL's Playstation and XBox. He's 35/36 and no wife or kids...so you know he has toys! LOL! So yeah I'm in the back room on LV's laptop and I completed the challenges for 5 of the ones I'm working on.

The challenges are:
1. Anyone For Anya? To be "patriotic" and use the colors or your country flag. I didn't go with my Ol' US of A...instead I did my native country...Mexico! They're perfect Christmas colors too...lol! I could have easily used Spains colors too...but my heart is closer to Mexico.

2 AND 3. Club Anya's Mystery Monday AND I Wanna Be Just Like {Anita Hovey} For Mystery Monday we're to make a "snow" card. Well...I used Snow from Miss Anya AND added snow to her standing ground. Then I CASED Anita's card LO which is also in conjunction with...

4. JUGS sketch: The sketch resembles Anita's card so much I had to incorporate a bit of each WITHOUT leaving the LO out. What's similar in both? The JUGs sketch has that lower panel that I combined with Anita's lower sentiment and ribbon. The image panel are also very similar. The only difference is that the JUGs sketch is to the side rather than in the middle. I'm sure you can tell the similarities!

last but not least...

5. Copic Challenge: RED HEADS! I thought it was a bit more in depth to use red to make a red head...lol...but found it easy to use E18, E09, & E07 to make a red head! Thank goodness for my Copic chart book!

These were sure fun to play with! Now let's see if I'll out-do the 5 in 1 challenges! LOL!

Copics:
Skin-E02, 50, & R02
Hair-E18, 09, 07, & 33
Clothing-R46, 29, 24, G99, 94, & 82
Shoes-N8, 6, & 3
Background glow-Y21 & air can

Show us your JUGS!

LOL...no don't show us your JUGS...show us your MUGS instead! What is this crazy woman talking about right? Well...not what you think...well...kinda! This weeks challenge at JUGS is the "Wild Card" challenge and this wild card challenge was to create a card that could feature a picture. I didn't want to use an actual picture of mine...so instead I went looking for a nice image of trees covered in snow and I found this image! All I did was print it out and break out the Labels 4 nesties and made a "frame". I have to say...who ever actually gets snow in their area...I am jealous! I haven't seen snow...like real snow...since I was a wee kid in the San Bernardino mountains! :( Sad I know!

Anywho...this is my card for this weeks JUGS challenge! :)

Ok...this was a quickie post...I'll be back with more blah blah on Thursday!

PLEASE make sure to check out the Bombshell Stamps blog hop tomorrow Wednesday! I couldn't participate this week so I encourage you to hop along with my fellow Bombshell Hotties!

TTFN!
