Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge!

Woo Hoo! I am loving being TMS guest designer! Not only is Melissa a great gal...but her TMS challenges are awesome! Plus her current DT makes the cutest samples ever! I'm loving the company I'm running with! :D I can't thank Mel enough for the opp!

Ok...so here is Mel's challenge with a "TWIST"! This week is NOT a sketch...but a recipe! Make a card using this weeks sponsor's image...which just happens to be the fabulous Mo's Digital Pencil! Have you seen her images??? OMG... I just adore her little kids/children images. Anywho...back to the recipe. The recipe is to use 3 decorative paper, 2 embellishments, & 1 flourish! How fun is that? Here is MY take on the challenge! I used Kai in the Snow! There's something about Kai that I just simply love! Maybe it's those chubby cheeks? I think so! I've used Kai before but back then I used Kai playing in the Leaves and mentioned Kai is a girl. Still...I made this Kai a bit more for a boy because Kai reminds me SO MUCH of my Ozzy when he was little. SAME chubby cheeks Kai has!!! Kai was colored with Copics. My 3 DP's are there even though they may not show much...lol...but they are from a Winter pack from Oriental Trading Co., my 2 embellishments are the metal work and the punches snowflakes, and well the flourish...that's hard to hide! LOL! Make sure to enter what you've cooked up at the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and HAVE FUN creating! Can't wait to see what you've made! See you again next week in my last installment with Tuesday Morning Sketches! :( The sponsor is a FABB-O one!!!

Ozzy Inkz is releasing another set...

...on the 23rd! He's asked me to leave you a freebie to play with. You can go check that out at Ozzy Inkz! Thanks for supporting my little boys dream! {heart}

I'm sorry...

Hey peeps! I'm sorry I've been away and not regularly posting. I've been dealing with some nasty headaches/migraines and it's taking A LOT out of me when it comes to stamping and what not. They seem to be letting down so I hope I can go back to posting normally. I had planned a week of New Moon...but from the looks of it...it's gonna be a no go! :( I will post on Tuesday though...so I hope to see you here for Tuesday Morning Sketches day! It's a coooool one! I promise! I'll also have a list of my Bombshell Hotties on the Hump Day Bombshell Stamps hop! I deeply apologize and hope I can resume to normal Gabby VERY soon!

BTW...I'm kinda sad to see there was hardly no participation on the "Henry Challenge". I guess I'll be saving my fat envelope for a future candy? I tried! I really did! There is still time though. Just go check out that special post.

On a side note...I have to leave a HUGE note of thanks to the girls at JUGs! You ladies are amazing and it touched MY Heart at your wonderful comments. Trust me...I may be a joker and a "dark side" girl with a touch of "naughty"...but my heart is like cotton candy...soft and sweet! :D Even though I may be in the dumps and have my own issues...I try to make the best of it and look at others going through a much worst situation. My problems do NOT compare to losing a family member (even though I did lose my momma a few months ago who I miss even more as time goes by)...let alone a child. So thanks to each and every one of you with your heartfelt words.

Blog Candy Winner and a Couple Awards

First I want to apologize for not posting since Thursday. I've been having some really bad headaches and haven't really had the strength to create. Soon though because I am planning a week of New Moon! I'm crossing my fingers to feel better to pull that one off. Ok...now onto the blog candy winner!

CONGRATS TO (true) COMMENT #34! Roberta!
Roberta said...

ONE?? Geez, Gabby, that's not fair.
I'll go with TWO instead.
There was a card that you made last year.. a POP card with canvas and a skull that I loved, and the Geisha Anya from just after Christmas. I don't usually like elongated cards, but that one impressed me enough that I was tempted to cave an buy an Anya. ;)

So YES Roberta...contact me with your addy so I can send this candy off to you! Congrats!!!

I said "true" comment because a couple commenters made a double post...so I didn't count those doubles. Thanks so much for participating in my 100 followers blog candy! It's nice to read what you guys like. I can't believe Nicola STILL had my Nefertiti card I made her eons ago! You rock Nic!!! This is the card! I must say that I'm very proud of it! It's the iris fold technique.

Ok...now on to some awards!

I want to thank my girl Traci AKA WickedPixie for awarding me this! I love the sentiment behind it! I am deeply touched by receiving it! Thank you Traci! {{HUGS}} Now I want to pass it on to the person that came to the top of my mind when I read the sentiment...Joni. It reflects her very well.

"This award is bestowed onto blogs that are exceedingly charming. These bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes cut, even more friendships are propagated. When you receive this award, you have to pass it on to six bloggers, so here goes! I chose these ladies as I am uber inspired by them and am glad to have become friends with them through blogging!"

This next award was given to me by Rhonda! It's a "good luck and good fortune" award. Thanks Rhonda...I really needed this award! I plan on adding it to my blog in hopes it does bring me good luck and good fortune. Thank you! BTW...he looks so much like my Bubba...my fat boy fur baby!

I would like to pass this on to 5 rad people!

A Special Post~A Challenge For Henry!

Hey all! I sat down to sip on some coffee and eat some toast this morning to read up on blogs before I ventured into my craft room to clean and what not and found JUGS is having a very special challenge!

As you may have read on a previous post...a fellow blogger and stamper on SCS's 3 year old son Henry passed away after an illness that until now hasn't been found out what was the main cause of his death. It started out as a tummy ache and then a fever and then the unexpected happened. Very sad tragedy indeed. Even sadder that it's a little angel...they haven't even come close to living a life. The same day I read about Henry...I hugged my kids so tight and cried.

JUGS decided to team up with Katie Cotton...owner of Paper Makeup Stamps for a challenge and that was to create a card using Henry...a digi Katie has in her store to raise money for Sarah...Henry's mom. You can read more about the challenge on the JUGS blog. My card was made with Henry's Snow Angel as the main focus and not too much added as to not take away from the most important part of the reason for the challenge. I use the awesome sketch for Mojo Monday Week 112. Henry was colored with Copics.

I'm adding a special candy with this challenge. NO...I AM IN NO PART ASSOCIATED WITH JUGS OR PAPER MAKEUP STAMPS...I'm just doing it from the goodness of my heart so you can go out and buy this digi and create a card using Henry. It is for a great cause. It can be anything but a card as well...tags, boxes, ANYTHING... What I'm offering up is a surprise FAT envelope of stuff I would use! From dies to flowers to buttons...it will be fat...trust me! So go on now to Paper Makeup Stamps and pick up Henry! You have until NEXT WEEK...the 19th to post your card on a blog or online gallery. Just make sure to leave me a comment here and leave a link for me to view it and on Friday morning...I will post the winner!

ALSO...I will be selling this card on my Etsy and I will personally pledge that when sold...the money (minus PayPal fee) will be forwarded to Katie to add to the Henry & Sarah fund. So...whadda ya say? Head on over to my Etsy to pick it up!

Thanks everyone and I truly do hope you participate in this JUGS special challenge! AND if you want some of my goodies...join me! Hey...you can use your JUGS card to enter in MY challenge! See...I'm making it easy!
