JUGs Challenge #16- Color Combo

Hello and Happy Saturday! As this post goes LIVE...I am in BED sleeping and will NOT be up until maybe midday! LOL! I'm trying to heal my mind and body with some sound sleep...so when you come by....be vewy vewy quiet! LOL!

Today's challenge is hosted by Kristin! Her color challenge is this: Bravo Burgundy, Blush Blossom, Basic Gray, and Very Vanilla! Yummy colors eh? I actually had a hard time trying to create something WOW...but in the end...I really liked this creation of mine. Mostly because this was the first time I inked up this Gorjuss Girl other than to give images away...lol. I loved playing with her. I just ADORE these Gorjuss Girls! I was sad when I had to sell 3 of them for some quick cash...but I'll hopefully get them back when I can financially.

World Card Making Day Hangover

Hey all...are you still recovering from World Card Making Day? I am...lol...I had a massive hangover! LOL! Seriously...I woke up with a nasty headache and my tummy ached and I felt nausea! LOL! I got over it though checking out the leftover on SCS challenges! :P

I made this card here for the Sugar Nellie challenge. A sketch was issued and I went for it. Plus I haven't used my Gorjuss Girls a lot...so I had to join in on the challenge. Read more about the challenge here: Sugar Nellie WCMD09K. Lately I've been using a lot of sketches to work my card...and I love it because sometimes I can't think of great LO's! I need that extra KICK to get me going. Plus the sketch provided was super fun and out of the "norm" for me. I also decided to break out Big Bertha again since I already got it use to me. LV's been teaching me to use more than just the zig-zag and straight sew on just one card. I swear this girl...UGH! LOL! Now I'm hooked on sewing different patterns.

This next item I made was for the Magnolia challenge! We were asked to make either an ornament OR a card with an ornament hanging. I have TONS of round coasters that I haven't used so I decided to go for it and break those out. I think I'll be making my own ornament using my favorite stamp companies for my tree this year. :D Maybe that'll be my theme this year? We'll see how that goes! Ok...I'll let you go now! I'm having a major malfunction in my brain...I think I'm losing mojo! I tried to make another card to post tomorrow but can't shake anything out! I need more challenges! LOL! Hopefully I can shake off this bug and keep my mojo. Maybe I'm thinking that in a few days it's my mom's birthday...she would have been turning 73 on the 12th. God I miss her so... :(

Gorjuss Tuesday

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Yes...I am happy...NO...I'M ON CLOUD 9! I'm super stoked because one of my cards won over at Club Anya! :D I have been a huge fan of Anya and Ian since before it was called The Greeting Farm...back when it was Pink Poison! My card that won was the purple Miss Anya a couple posts back...for the "I Wanna Be Like..." challenge/contest! I can't believe Pam chose mine! I jumped up and down like such a dummy...lol. I went hollering around the house telling Oscar..."look look babe...I won"...he just looked at me like WTF? LOL!

ANYWHO...I was all in a natural high that I got to stamping! Just look at my desk of work in progress. LOL! I had to finish my second spot in my own swap on SCS. I have to say that this is one busy card (of 4) I made. I love embellishments and what not...but sometimes I tend to go over board. I don't know if this is too busy...but it sure IS busy! I guess I was just super excited that my mind went bizerk! :P I have also been practicing my shiny hair like Traci (WickedPixie). I think I got the black hair down...next try...brunette!

Ok...I'm on a rush right now so I'll stop before I go on and on about nothing...lol. I'm looking forward to see what Melissa at Tuesday Morning Sketches has in store for us! Check it out and play along!

Well...a gorjuss girl she be...our winner!!! She has been a friend and blog buddy for what seem are AGES now! Friends even before the blog came along...lol...so I was happy to see the random generator pop up with lucky #7! Congrats to Julie Temple!!! YAY GF!

Thanks to ALL my followers/readers! All of you make my day a happier one...especially when I see your pretty faces pop up in my comment box! :D

Now on to my Gorjuss Girl...no not Julie again...lol...this card I made for my girl Cori! She didn't have any Gorjuss Girl stamps so I stamped her a couple of images for her to play with. I think I've enabled her with them! ;) I hadn't used my favorite color of all time on ANY recent card...so I had to break out the purples! Yes...Copics...I know...you see a pattern forming...but what I like about having LV share her Copics with me just like share my Prismas with her...THEY GET ALONG WELL!!! They don't fight (maybe because they're separated from each other)...I haven't heard them yelling at each other...now LV and Chava...and yes...Lizzie...that's another story! LOL! Anywho...I made major faux-paus <---is that how you spell that? So...I was so anxious to color this girlie that I didn't wait for the image to just rest it out over night and GASP...THE COLORS BLED!!! It was an icky mess...but I think I was able to slavage it! I don't know if Cori liked it...but I know she liked the images...lol. *blush*

Happy Gorjuss Wednesday!

OMG the weather here is TO DIE FOR! It's nice and breezy and sunny...PERFECT! This is how I like my weather...not too hot and not too cold! I'm the Goldilocks of weather...lol.

Anywho...I want to show you this card which is a series of 4 for a swap. I'm super excited about this card because the very first time I saw these images on Splitcoast...I was IN LOVE! These Gorjuss girls are soooo my type! I love working with these kinds of stamps...plus it doesn't hurt they look like my girlies! Wonder if the desinger will even come up with some Gorjuss boys! Right now the only stamps that resemble my boy are the new boy fairies from Paper Makeup and the Ians from The Greeting Farm...lol! Anywho...off track! These cards were made for my girl...Lisa's (wildbasket) swap that calls for your favorite pet! Wow...for some weird reason...I feel like I'm having a case of Dejavu'! It's like I feel I've posted this before! WEIRD! LOL! Anywho...I once again used LV's Copics but can't believe I lost the list of the colors I used! AAAAHHH. Anywho...these girls can be found at Sugar Nellie! You still have time to pre-order kit #2 of the Gorjuss Girls...pre-sale ends on the 11th! Ok...so back to catching up on swaps I go!
