Happy Sunday and hope you join in!

Hello all and Happy Labor Day Sunday! Last night I was cruising blog land and came across Naoual's blog where she's putting in her part in sending a card to a little girl who really needs some cheer. The girl is 13 and lost part of her arm in a boating accident. Well...I have my 13 year old and it's sad to think that things like this do happen to kids and is crucial that we show them some love and support and try to cheer them up because these are the years where they're growing and finding themselves. We wanna prevent them from going into bad depressions after life altering changes. SO...I challenge you guys to send in a card! What's in it for you? Just knowing you made a little girl smile with a card made from the heart. I wish I had candy to offer...but I can't at the moment. Still...I challenge you!

Here is the card I made for her. But before I get into that...here is where you can read the story about this girl. There's a link there in that blog that directs you to the actual story. PLUS she is offereing candy to those who participate. So head on over for a great cause! Let me know here as well to know I've made my part in spreading the word!

Oh...and before I forget to mention...this is a DIRECT CASE off of Maria Bell's AMAZING card! It's also my entry for the Digi Shacks "recipe" challenge where you're to use 1 ribbon, 2 DP's, and 3 brads.

Copics:

Looks like a trend now...

...so I'm knocking on wood!

Hey there and good morning! Wow...I can't believe it's already June...the smack dab in the middle of the year! I know where most of my half year has gone...do you? Anywho...I wanted to show you a couple cards today of stuff I made while MIA...I'm still working on some new stuff and hope to update real soon on the newer stuff! Expect Bombshells! *wink* Today's cards were made for my friends Cheryl aka DJ Cher for a Riley/Sophie swap. As you can tell...the cards were when I was at my mad woman peek because they honestly do not reflect my style. Still...I couldn't back down from the swap...I can't do that to a HO...especially my sweet Deej! LOL! BTW...I am SOOOO jealous of her! Guess who she got to meet AND STAMP WITH??? None other than Miss Hanna STamps herself...Kristi!!! SHUT UP RIGHT??? Check out her blog header! Jealous much? YES PLEASE!

Ok so this first card is Sophie Ballerina. I saw a card on SCS (I'm sorry I forgot who...but I'll search to credit...but I'm sure it was Jeanne) that had a banner and so I had to copy the idea! I was in a dire loss of my muse...so I had to "copy" from somewhere just to pull out the cards. She was colored using Hanna Stamps Riley Copic set. I hope she wasn't too blah...like in simple blah!

Copics used:
C3 & RV11
Supplies:
CS/DP: PPirrouette, CChip, & Bright White
Ink: BBlack & Copics
Stamps: Ballet Sophie
Embellishments: flat back pearls
Others: Giga scalloped punch, Mega circle punch, SU scalloped punch, 1 3/8 punch, 1 1/4 punch, & piercing tool

Now comes Sleepy Time Riley! I had initially chosen Sleepy Time Riley because I wanted to use my Glow In The Dark paint...but OMG I could not get it right to fit into those small moons for the life of me!!! This card was also a copy (or CASE) only I flipped it. This is the card I CASED. Once again...not one of my favorite work...but I had to pull them thru so I wouldn't fail! This is also for DJ's swap. I used Copics on him too...only I didn't take a picture of those! YIKES! Distraction takes over my brain sometimes! So...whatcha think? Be brutaly honest...lol.

Supplies:
CS/DP: CChip, BBlue, Bright White, & unknown DP vendor
Ink: BBlack & Copics
Stamps: Sleepy Time Riley
Embellishments: brads
Others: crimper & piercing tool

Gabby

LV's 13th birthday card!!! OMJ!!!

LMBO...what's OMJ you ask? Well...it's a term LV uses with her friends. Instead of our OMG...she says OMJ for OH MY JONAS! Yeah...I know! *rolls eyes* Well...since her 13th birthday is coming up on March 1st...I thought I'd make her a card featuring her boys...The Jonas Brothers! She has been a long time fan...when they were first coming out on the scene...about 2006 I think...well it's been since 2007 that she's shown MUCH more interest in them. I guess she had to grow into herself to finally give in to the "hearthrod-ish" fanatisicm. She loves these boys to no end...so what better thing to incorporate into her birthday card than no other than the Jo Bros!? LOL! I had to make Hello Ian and Dress Me Ian into curly heads because there's no curly hair Ian (or buddy...hint for Marie *wink*). It's funny because I think I got them to the T!!! Including their own unique "style". Cute huh? I hope she likes it! She better because I worked really hard on them! LOL! Oh...and I also used colors from her other favorite thing right now...Twilight. Here are her boys...the Jonas Brothers. BTW...her favorite is Joe...the straight hair one in the middle! AND I HAVE TO CONFESS...I don't care how much I get ridiculed...LMBO...but I have a tiny crush on the older JB...Kevin ( on the left). *blush* He's the one with the best fashion sence...IMHO! :P

Prismacolor Markers used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: BBlack, RHRed, Bright White, & B&W Butterfly DP from MAMBI
Ink: BBlack & Prismas
Stamps: Hello Ian, Dress Me Ian, Clothing Access., Chef Ian, & Things Hanna Would Say
Embellishments: Prima flowers, flatback bling, & glitter stickers
Others: scalloped punch, circle punches, & ticket notch corner punch

Bombshell Stamps Candy Contest!!!

Yup...the time is here! Bombshell Stamps is having a yummy candy contest! What's the happs? Well...here you go!

The Contest guidelines are as follows:

Creat a card, layout or altered item...but it must have a Bombshell Stamp somewhere (just in time to use your coupon if you don't have any yet...check over there-----> to see how you can get 20% off your next purchase!) and rhinestones or pearls, use either a heart, or broken-heart, and a ribbon. It can be a Valentine or an anti-Valentine, whatevs gets you rolling!

Get funky and creative!!! We want to see what great bombshells we have out there letting go and unleashing their inner bombshell. The contest will end Feb 18th so you have plenty of time to order with your 20% off coupon and get your stamps just in time to create.

The winner will be picked at random by a random generator!
All entries must be tagged BSSVC2009 to be entered into the drawing and slideshow. If you have any questions just let the Hostess Bombshell know...the awesome Jan @ Bombshell Stamps @ PCP! She's there to help you have fun and enjoy the site.

What's up for grabs...check it out!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is what I made as a sample to get your creative juices flowing!!! Come on...wouldn't you want a chance to win that awesome set?
Here I used this votive novena candle since we go thru these like babies go thru diapers. We are the crazy catholics who light candles for everything...graduations, babies, Nacho going to prison...lol...yes...I KID YOU NOT!!! So we're really stocked up on these and I though they were too naked...so why not give it a coat? Pretty cool huh? *wink* You know you want a candle like this! Why? Because you can slip the coat right off!!! You don't have to throw it away when the candle is done because all you have to do is grab another candle and dress it! Nothing uglier than a nekkid candle! :S LOL!
I've been sticking true to my guns by using stuff I haven't used in ages...and here I used nothing BUT SCRAPS!!! Yup...all the CS and DP used for this was in my scraps pile! Naughty naughty Gabby!!! I also FINALLY decided I'd just use up my Pretties kit from SU. I mean...why buy it if I'm not gonna use it? The sticking withe the theme from the last challenge...I used playing cards! How cool I even incorporated stamps from another of my favorite companies...Hanna Stamps!!! I used Things Hanna Would Say! Here though I would say..."I'm melting for you!" LOL! What better sentiment than that since wax melts??? I could have printed out "Come on baby light my fire" or "I'm hot for you"...but I RAN OUT OF INK! :'( LOL! Still...I think it went well! Whatcha think?
Still haven't convinced ya? What's a girl gotta do? If you're interested...let me know and I'll work on a tutorial! *wink*
I was on Project Runway this weekend!
Yeah...I wish! But I did get to play with the FABULOUS Anya to dress her up for Marie's Anya Fashion Show over at The Greeting Farm gallery. I can say that I'd rather stick to these models who don't give me lip when they don't like a certain outfit...plus...I'm glad Anya wouldn't throw a phone at me...lol. I know you got that one! LOL! Doing this fashion show thing made me feel like I was 8 all over again! I remember I use to LOVE playing dress up with my Barbie dols and with paper dolls. Ahhhh...those were the days. I remember I asked my dad for a sewing machine so I can make my Barbie's clothing...AND OMG...HE BOUGHT ONE FOR ME FOR MY 9th BIRTHDAY!!! I love fashion...but haven't really followed up on it. I even made my own clothing...YES...AT 9!!! I'll have to dig up some pictures of the clothing I made for myself...lol. Anywho...playing in the fashion show was TOO MUCH FUN and I know Lisa (the judge) must have had a serious had time picking the winner. All the entries were FABBY!!! I mean DANG...I couldn't even pick a favorite...it was just too hard! I am glad to say that one of my girls over on SCS...and a fellow HO...won!!! Check out her card! Congrats Susan!
Anywho...here are my 3 entries!
Entry #1 is Mardi Gras Anya! I had an idea brewing in my head that I wanted to make Anya into Masquerade Anya...but when my vision didn't come thru quite as I wanted...I scrapped that idea and made a turn around down Bourboun St...lol...and thought Mardi Gras Anya would be better than a dark "masquerade-ish" Anya. Plus...I couldn't find my feathers...lol. I had freehanded a few masks but nothing I liked...so I Googled Mardi Gras masks and saw this incredible one with a butterfly and knew I had to re-create that one! SOOOO...I broke out my Bombshell stamp set that has these FABBY butterflies from Butterfly Queen and used it as Anya's mask. FUN HUH??? I told you that Bombshell Stamps can be incorporated into other stamps! ;) Check out Miss Purple Butterfly at Mardi Gras...she even has beads but got them the right way...not the wrong one! IYKWIM? ;) LOL!
Prismacolor markers used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: BBlack, EEggplant, PPlum, & Bright White
Ink: BBlack & Prismas
Stamps: Dress Me Anya, Bombshell Stamps (butterfly), Stampotique (flourish), & Hanna Stamps (sent.)
Embellishements: paper flower, flatback bling, gold glass beads, gold foil stickers, & hat pin
Others: ticket corner punch & floss
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Entry #2 is Teen Denim Anya! She was inspired by my DD...well...I guess both inspired me! LV with the color streaks in her hair and Lizzie with the clothing. LOL! For this Anya...I pieced her clothing using patterned paper in my scraps crate that needed some use so I can cut down the mountain of scraps. I knew I had some denim like PP/DP and so the idea of the denim skirt came! First I was gonna make a tutu because LV wants to wear one of those with leggings to her next Jonas Brothers concert...it's a fad with these teenie bopper kids to wear that to a JB concert. I honestly don't like it...but whatevs! LOL...notice I'm talking like a tween! ACK!!! Anywho...I took the denim PP once it was on Anya and I used a soft file from SU to distress it for that worn look! I even gave her some leggins like the ones both LV and Lizzie use...lol. Oh...and check out her flip flops!!! She was made on a last minute thing so I broke out my old reliable sketches! Some may recognize this sketch...those that enters one of my blog candy challenges! Remember...the one I used Hanna as a sample? Speaking of blog candies...I'll be having one soon! I don't know exactly when as I want to be 100% here...but soon! Maybe for my birthday or maybe my wedding anniversary on 2/21.

Prismacolor markers used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: PPom, Denim, Magenta stripes, Bazzil Bling Blue, Bazzil Bling Magenta, & Bright White
Ink: BBlack & Prismas
Stamps: Dress Me Anya
Embellishments: Prima flowers and flatback bling
Others: Stickles in Hot Pink (?) and white gel pen

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Entry #3...a digi card! Marie has 3 awesome Anya's in digi format that I picked up. Here I used Alice Anya and gave her a digi makeover! All "paper" and "embellishments" are from the Digital Scrapbook Place...a place I've been a member of since 2005 I think. I love to digi scrap...so I had to make one of my entries a digi card. Alice Anya was colored using PSP.
Cupcakes! A guilty treat? Hmmm...
Do you ever feel guilty after such a yummy snack like a cupcake? I do...lol. This one is for you if you like me feel the guilt. So to encourage all my "chubby" friends trying to loose weight here is a card for you! Isn't this Sophie just cute? Plus...that cupcake looks very appealing...so who could blame her for jumping on the scale after eating such a yummy treat? LOL! Here's to your goal! Cooler in Southern Cali!!!
Brrrrr...it's feeling lots chillier here in Southern California! NOW I'm happy with the weather...lol. I can actually snuggle within myself when I get that blast of cool air in my face. Love it! Now I can break out the hot cocoa and the warmer blankets.
This card here was made for Hanna Stamps contest challenge on SCS by my girl Candice. She provided a sketch for us to work with. It was simple...but those sometimes are the best. I'm actually intimidated by sketches with those 4 panels where they have to line up...lol. I actually made it work because I put more effort into it...plus it was made simpler thanks to Scor-Pal! Yes...it's a MUST have this Scor-Pal! What's funny is that while I was intimidated by the lines of the panels not matching...I pasted the image a bit off center from the scalloped circle...LMBO! That's the only reason I used those white Prima flowers there...to cover up the boo boo!!! I still like the outcome though...so I guess no complaints! As hard as it was to use my stack of Figgy Pudding DP...I used it! It was harder than I thought...lol. I told you I have to start using what I already have before I start buying more once my spending freeze lifts. I also used those snowflake brads which I was "hiding" AND have really been using up my TONS of flowers I have. Not to mention my watercolor paper.
Speaking of watercolor paper...OMG...I tried using my Prismacolor markers on it...I am in love! I now need to buy more WC paper!!! I love how it didn't bleed and how well it blended the colors like LV's been teaching me! I still like my bright white from Wausau Paper...don't get me wrong...but this WC paper really stunned me! Whatcha think?
Prismacolor Markers used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: BBreeze, BBayou, Watercolor paper, & Figgy Pudding DP from Basic Grey
Ink: BBlack, SSky, BBreeze, & Prismacolor markers
Stamps: Ski Bunny Hanna
Embellishments: snowflake brad, Prima flowers, & flat back rhinestones
Others: scalloped punch, circle punch, Diamond Glaze, & white gel pen
Since I've been gone...
...doesn't mean I haven't been stamping. I've been reading!!! I am now near the end of Eclipse. I can't wait to read Breaking Dawn!!! Actually...I did make a card and it's of course...Edward from Twilight. Well...this is Edward in my eyes...lol. He even sparkles!!!
Anywho...first here is the Edward card. I used my own handwriting, ugly as it is for the sentiment. I made it for my girly LV since she's a Twilight FANATIC as well. She's actually the one who got me into Twilight...lol. There was this rumor going around for some time now at her school that shooting were being planned...so as a worried momma...I put my feeling into a card. This is when I wish she had an Edward in her life...lol. Hope you like! BTW...how do you like my new music...It's music that makes me think of the Twilight books and the songs I've been listening while reading the books.
Prismacolor Markers used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: BBlack, Cherry? Bazzil Bling, Basic Grey, Bright White by Wausau, & Red, Black, & Cream by Autumn Leaves DP
Ink: BBlack & Prismas
Stamps: Mikey from Hanna Stamps
Embellishments: CB heart dies (transparency sheet & Bazzil Bling CS)
Others: Diamond Stickles
Check out these pendants I made too!!! Nice huh? :P
A little naughty...just a little! ;)
Well that's the story and I'm sticking to it! That's atleast what I'm claiming right now! :P If you know me better...you know that this card right here...is TAME compare to what I can really do...lol. Like the sentiment says...I only look innocent! This card once again is for my own swap...this is my "naughty" spot. So...who needs one of these? ;) LOL!
Like how I made the mole next to her lips? Marilyn Monroe? Madonna? I'd like to think Madonna because she's naughtier...lol. Whatcha think? I don't know why...but when I see the shirt like that on that background...makes me think of a shirt on the floor of some cheesy hotel with carpet in that design...lol. If you know what I mean? Remember...she is naughty!
Sex
Speaking of tee's...LV made a cute set using glow-in-the-dark paint!!! I'm gonna have to feature hers here if she doesn't get back in the game of updating her blog. It's for her spot in my swap.
CS/DP: BBlack, RRHood, & Red, Black, & Cream DP by Autumn Leaves
Cooking up some CUTE fun!
Ok...I am having too much fun with these cupcakes that I HAD to team them up with Hanna! I know this looks like something Hanna would cook up to BOO her friends at a Halloween party! Can't you see it? LOL! She is even in her Halloween's best! She's my new best friend! LOL! When I got the cupcakes and saw Candice's card at Rubbah Soul...it hit me to make a card using these cupcakes! Kiss The Cook Hanna is too cute! Her face just screams OMG!!! I don't know but I think I over did it! The card is not exactly what I had envisioned but it was the idea! I shoulda coulda woulda...whatever...it's DONE! LOL! It looks busy but then again Halloween is busy! All those decorations of jack-o-lanters and vampires and witches...oh my! Wonder if Hanna added something "extra" to that batter brew to enchant a certain someone! See those swirls coming out that bowl? That looks like a pinch of magic to me! ;)
See the tops of those cupcakes...they're gumdrops! LOL! I added some diamond glaze and sprinkled with micro beads to give it that "sugary" look gumdrops have. I love those chewy things! And how cute is Hanna with her pieced apron? I used a scrap of the Creepy Crawly DP I had stored away. I knew I would need it so I didn't throw it away. Then I ask myself WHY I have so many scraps of DP and CS! *rolls eyes* I save even the smallest pieces of DP. They could be 1'' x 1'' and I still think I could use it! LOL! Oh, and I hand drew the witch hat. She was not complete without it! I even drew on some witchy stockings! Whatcha think?
Resisting Fall
Hi! Here is a card using the emboss resist technique. I'm feeling a bit out of myself...like I'm in another world or something...so if this post seems BLAH...I am so sorry! I try to make my posts funny or interesting and what not...but in my recent mood...*shurgs* I just wanted to make sure I posted something.
Anywho...this card here makes me think of Fall and how JEALOUS I am of those who actually get to see the transitions from season to season. Here in So. Cal. we only have dry and wet...lol. <--a little humor! :O It's so not feeling like Fall here again. We're back to warm weather and I can't stand it. Last night we had 3 power outages! I guess people are using their AC's again! *sigh* Ok...if you don't know how to create a card using the emboss resist technique...it is very easy to do. GO HERE for the tutorial at SCS! Silly Boys! Tools are for girls too!
Yeah...now this is what you call "GIRL POWER"! Not only boys can use their tool toys...so can us girls! I made this card as a set of 6 for a swap. I'm angeling for a dear friend who is having such a hard time right now. Poor hun had to have her angels make out her swaps because she would hate to drop. Although us Ho's have each others backs we wouldn't mind one of our Ho's dropping at the last minute (with a valid reason of course)...but still...just like our Ho's don't leave another Ho hanging...we were called in to help and answered. SO...since I just love these Hanna's...this one here screams girl power!!!
GIRL'S ROCK!!!
Custom Smiley
I was going to paper piece her outfit to match the paper...but instead I went to the old reliable white gel pen! Poor thing hasn't been used in ages! It's not a Halloween stamp...but I just HAD to showcase her! Whatcha think? Now that's a sassy looking, well dresses, ready to find that stud Hanna huh?! Flirty Wink
Candice's challenge called to making a Fall card...or a card using Fall colors. I'm a sucker for Fall and Winter...so I couldn't pass up this challenge. It was also a self challenge in the fact I wanna try new techniques and what not. This one here was for me to try out the Joy Fold card. I used buttons as the clasp...FUN FUN FUN!
