My first card after almost a year...

I can't believe I'm actually surprised that I didn't do as bad as I had expected. I did rack my brain after I colored up this cute Miss Anya from The Greeting Farm. I went blank for a couple of days. Then finally I dug into my files of my old cards and saw an easy LO to try.

Of course since I made this card for Lizzie's 7th birthday on Saturday, she chose every element on the card, so it was a definite challenge. Still it captures who she's growing up to be. She asked me to even add freckles!

It felt good, and if I have to do this at least once a week or every other week as a source for my stress relief, then I'll do that.I have to say, it felt so good to have a Copic in my hand again. The cold feel of the marker barrel in my hand was like eating a yummy chocolate. YES, that good. Sitting at my desk coloring while listening to my iPod got me back into my groove.

The only one who wasn't that happy I was back to stamping was the DH. He stood behind me and asks me, "You're stamping again? You know we can't afford your little hobby, right?". He's just not as supportive as before and it's sad. He blames his new attitude on being stressed out and having to put in extra hours at work. As if I'm not stressed myself. But oh well, his attitude isn't gonna put a damper on me stamping again.

My favorite color combo just happens to be brown and pink! Any shades of pinks and brows are just beautiful to me! So here is my card! Monday...oh Monday...

Yeah pretty much...lol. I've said it before...I am NOT a Monday person! I have totally been spazzing lately and forgot to post this on Saturday as an auto-post...when I'm more cheerful. But somehow...lately...I've been feeling burnt out! What's weird is that when I was caring for both my mom and dad...I didn't feel burnt out even was I was burning both ends of the candle! I don't get it! ANYWHO...

Paper Makeup Stamps A WEEK IN REVIEW!

God I am so happy today is Wednesday! With my dang anxiety I'm super happy I'm one day away from my hubby's day off. Dumb little things like that happen to "tick" my anxiety...hubby heading off to work. I know...it's silly but I'm trying to adjust. This just started recently too...getting anxious about hubby going to work.

So...did you enjoy Paper Makeup Stamps release? Aren't these new stamps awesome? So...did you put in your order? ;) LOL!

Ok...so when I do start getting those anxious feelings and I'm home and the kids are fed and what not...I do what Caliope in the Tub does...soak in hot water (as hot as I can stand it) with bubbles and relax. I've even fallen asleep...lol. Not good right? I know... Still...that Caliope's living the life huh? LOL! I mean what's not to love from sitting in the bath and relaxing to some classical music or some nature sounds in the dark with only a few candles lit? In a way...that's the ONLY best part about my anxiety attacks. Oh...and I even have "nurses" who care to me. My Lizzie comes in with a clipboard and paper and marker and asks me "what's your boo boo mom?"...cute right? Want Caliope? Shop here! Oh...and I have a Paper Makeup Stamps blog candy in the works! So watch for that! It's not gonna be a "comment here and follow" candy...I'm gonna throw down a challenge!!! TSG Mother {'s Day} of all Blog Hops

Hello and welcome to your very first stop on the Mother of all Blog Hops-blog hop...lol. This is very intimidating as I never liked being first at ANYTHING...ACK! Why did my last name have to start with an "A"? :P BUT I am so happy to be here none the less! When I found out that Jessica and Holly we're arranging this blog hop welcoming costumers AND past Trendsetters I jumped on the occasion! I was a Guest Trendsetter in April of '09 and that was fun times!

So here we go! If you came to me through the There She Goes blog...then you are on the right path! If you just happen upon my blog and would like to join in the hop...head on over to the There She Goes blog to read up on any important info about the hop! Ok...you ready now...coolio!

This weekend I am representing 3 sets...YES...THREE!!! First I signed up for "A-Z & 1, 2, 3". But then there were sets still uncalled for so I jumped on the opp to also rep the oh so LOL "Tastes Like Chicken" from when I was a Trendsetter and "Nature of Friendship" because during my time with TSG...I made some new awesome friends. Side note...I've been an awful friend lately and I apologize for all my friends whom I've neglected...so the Nature of Friendship card is for you ALL! :D

This project I made is this tote for my MIL for Mother's Day. This was an idea pitched to me by my awesome Ho (don't ask...lol) Kelli Jo who you will be visiting somewhere down the hop! I was stressed for ideas for a Mother's Day gift and BANG...she said stationary! Thanks KJ! :P Love ya! Love how you can use this set to personalize anything! I altered a notepad and stamped the inside pages with my mother in laws initial to match the cover and tote. Mis Notas is My Notes in Spanish. Then I made a postage stamp envelope and stamped "estampillas" which is stamps in Spanish. Lastly I altered a dollar store find...an address book with "direcciones" meaning addresses also in Spanish and then a matching RSVP pen. I hope she likes it! See the fun things you can do with this set?

Next is my Nature of Friendship card. I decided to keep it plain and simple and make a CAS card to feature it's beauty. This set doesn't need too many layers... I used Old Olive, Basic Black, and Elegant Eggplant to stamp the images and greeting. You can click on it for a larger image to read the sentiment. It had been a while since I used my SU inks all thanks to my Copics...lol! Nice break...

Finally here is my Tastes Like Chicken card. I remember when I first got the set to play with...I was dying! I was literally ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MY BUTT OFF! I know this wasn't a very popular set with many during the sneak peeks and it was the talk of the town at SCS...but I have a funny and sometimes strange sense of humor so this was so up my alley! Dark nasty alley...lol! Hope you enjoy this card! My last one was well...a bit "tasteless". If you wanna see what I'm talking about..you can see it here! I thought it was pretty hilarious! This one I went a bit more classy...lol! Hey..."those people" this set was meant for have class too dangit! x}

Hello all and HAPPY FRIDAY! TGIF right? I know I'm thankful it's Friday! I've been having a semi-rough week feeling yucky and what not.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #43

Hey peeps and Happy Tuesday! I think I like the second day of the week better than Monday...lol! Mostly because I get to let you know about Tuesday Morning Sketches latest sketch challenge! :P I know I usually whine *with some cheese on the side* about how some of the sketches Melissa throws at us scare the HECK out of me...lol...but this week is different...this is my kid of sketch I can work with and not feel like a fish out of water! LMBO! Seriously! I mean I can take on ANY sketch if I see a sample...but with this...being on the team...OMG it's like walking blind into a room. Yeah...I'm that bad at that kind of creativity! LO's KILL me...but DANG I love them! ANYWHO...I managed to kill this one...or so I hope! I know I'll be knoched over with a feather at what the rest of the team does! *hides* LOL!

It was fun to work with this image by this weeks sponsor who happens to be new to the game. Her name is Lia from Lia Stampz and her selection of little characters she has are super adorable. I knew I wanted to play with Twink as soon as I saw him. Seeing the sketch and the image POP in my head...it all clicked! It was one of those "the heaves opened up" kinda moment. Ok...there I go with the cheese...lol. Anywho...this was my first time trying out the clouds using the scalloped punch and my Copic airbrush can. :D I need to try that more often. Before I go into my post...I want to post a shout out to my little Lizzie who is turning 6 today! Awwww...my baby is no longer in the 1-5 child category...she's a kid now...LOL! My baby girl! She's having her party at grandma's house on Sunday. So not looking forward to the hyper kids with the cake and candy! LOL...yikes!!!

I didn't go too far out like I normally do with embellishments...so I kept this one short with only 5 blings! This image alone is too cute to add to much to it. You see how she's dressed? Well...that's close to exactly what I wore to Disneyland...pictures to share soon! I just had to make her match with me...lol. Not only do I love this fairy's outfit...but I love her hair as my hair was like that once upon a time...and I LOVE butterflies!!! I think that's why I picked this fairy to play with! ;) BTW...her name is Danni...appropriately named after design team member Danni! Lucky girl! :P You can find her HERE! What a punk and we're off to Disneyland!

Hey all...before we head off to Disneyland thanks to BIL George who works there and gave us passed...I wanted to make sure I left you with a card. I want this to be a record week where I post from Monday to Friday! ;) Who knows when I'll do that again! LOL!

Anywho...this card I made for Club Anya's Getting Punky with it... challenge. Of course I am almost always late...but still...I had morphed my images together to make this punk so I had to color him up and slap him on a card...lol. Can you believe I used 3 digi's to make him? I used Flirty Edward, Joseph, & Dressy Jeremy. I used Edwards head and shaved off part of his hair to give him that mohawk...lol...then I used Josephs top part of his body and Jeremy's pants and eyes to complete my punk. I found some stickers I bought EONS ago and thought they were too cute not to used...they're "safety pin" stickers...lol...cool huh? Also went a bit nuts with the sewing machine as you can tell...lol. It needed to be used again...don't want it to collect dust! After I was done with it...LV told me he kinda looked like the drummer from Green Day...except he doesn't have green and black hair...so with that vision...I drew up a pair of drumsticks! :D He's dope! I have one more Green Day member to make...I already made the drummer on this card...and then the lead singer with this card...now one more to go to complete the band...lol! I've made some pretty awesome musicians huh? From the Jonas Brothers to Axl Rose...lol. Let's see who I make next! ;)

EDIT TO POST: Ok...so I got my image from the sponsor who just happens to be The Doodle Palace but I got it a little late for me to create MY card for the challenge. I had already sent Melissa my other card and it was too late to send another. Still...I used Fairy Set for this card...which actually was made by my little girl...Lizzie. She's been non-stop excitement since she found out we're going to Disneyland for her birthday. So what better way to calm her down for at least a bit (for my sanity) than to have her make a card while I work on one myself. I did all the coloring and paper cutting...she did all the rest. I just told her what had to be used etc...and she put on her thinking cap and went digging through my stuff. She looked adorable putting it together and I had fun coloring the image. Isn't it adorable?

Hey guys! What is UP? Ready for a new week? I'm not...lol! I don't know why...but for some reason this weekend went by fast! I just remember is being Friday! WHAT!!!

Nothing like Michael's though...this is more for those who make those party favors etc... Then I go down this one isle and there were all kinds of paper flowers...from very large for bouquets to very small...like for cards! ;) So I picked up some to try something new. I use to sell stuff like this long time ago...way before I even blogged and it went pretty well. So with no job and limited funds I said why not try this out again by investing a bit? Another day of Paper Makeup Stamps SNEAK PEEKS!

Hey guys...me here again still steaming...lol! Anywho...if you're here for Tuesday Morning Sketches...scroll down to my next post! Don't worry if you have a moment of deja-vu...it's the same card...LMBO!

This card was made for both TMS and for PMS's sneak peek. I don't know if you remember that this is the image Katie released as a charity stamp for me and my family? Well now...she's been turned into rubber! Now you can actually get your hands on it and actually stamp it...lol. I hope that those of you who bought it in digi form will buy it in rubber. This image is no longer for me...but for Paper Makeup Stamps! SOOOO...this isn't too much of a sneak peek...but more of a refresh your memory...lol. Tuesday Morning Sketches & A special birthday for Hollyanne!

Hola! Here is yet another week since I came back. Today is special for one very special little girl turning 12 years old...Melissa's little girl...Hollyanne! Happy Birthday Grasshopper! May your day be amazing and ROCK ON!

This is my card in honor to Hollyanne's birthday! I don't have too much to say today. I'm frustrated with my computer and I'm ready to toss it...but I blame myself. I haven't defraged my PC or cleaned disk so this is all my fault...still I come back from my little hole and this...lol. I can never win! LOL! Anywho...I'm gonna spend all day cleaning disk and defraging so I can get my speed back. As soon as I can get this thing zooming...I'll stop by and check out your work! Another day of Paper Makeup Stamps SNEAK PEEKS!

I'm late, I'm late, I'm late...sorry! I woke up with a second hand hangover. I wont go into detail how I feel...but I'll make sure to get on my hubby for over doing it on the cervesa! GRRRRR!

Anywho...today I'm am sneaking you a peek of this sexy corset that is VA VA VA VOOM! It is also being released on the 7th from Paper Makeup Stamps. I may be wrong...but I believe this set is called Oo La La...I haven't pulled up my notes...I was just thinking of posting and then heading to the couch with some Motrin. I just had to add a little ribbon to it...I wanted to make it look like a nighty I have! *whistles* LOL! ;)

P.S. To my readers in Southern California and Baja Mexico (even Southern Arizona)...I hope everything is OK with you and your loved ones. I'm really getting freaked out now with all these significant earthquakes happening...and in less than a year! Is that a teaser for California and "The Big One"? It's really making me sick and keeping me on edge. What's funny is that yesterday's 7.2 earthquake that epicentered in Mexical...I did not feel it! We were in Riverside hiding eggs around that time...about 45 minutes or so from San Diego and NOTHING. But then I watch videos on YouTube and it was felt up all the way to Inglewood...that's further up that Riverside...??? My sister however felt it really close. She lives in Yuma, AZ and is on the border with San Luis. She said she was working when it happened...but the only thing that went through her mind was "oh man...now what's gonna happen to my tips?" LMBO! She's a waitress at Hometown Buffet...lol... and after the earthquake that's all she thought about! What she said reminded me so much of my mom...that's something she would say...lol!

Ok...now I'm headed to the couch to watch some news. It's nasty and it's raining here so it's perfect blanket on the couch weather. I like the rain...but I would prefer my sun and warm weather back right about now. I don't want it to rain too much this week as it'll keep the kids inside the house...lol. Alright...have an AMAZING and SAFE day!

So if this sounds rushed...it is because it's almost midnight and I need to go to bed because we are up bright and early to go to my MIL's! :S Anywho...today the Paper Makeup artists are sneaking some peeks of the upcoming release!
