Thanks for the chance to win your rockin candy - I've added it to my sidebar at Create With Joy!

There are SO many songs I love! I tend to like personal songs I can relate to and songs that tell stories. A classic fave of mine is Landslide by Stevie Nicks. "Well I've been afraid of changing cause I've built my life around you, but time makes you bolder even children get older, and I'm getting older too..." - who can't relate to that?

I don't have a blog but I will comment anyway. Offhand, one of my favorite songs with lyrics is "Arms Wide Open" by Creed. I just love the message that as parents we can pass on so much.

That is one of the hardest questions you could ask me!;) I go through phases where different songs mean different things to me, but right now the song I connect with the most is probably Shalott by Emilie Autumn, especially this part:

"She went down to her little boat
And she broke the chains and began to float away
And as the blood froze in her veins she said,
"Well then that explains a thing or two
'Cause I know I'm the cursed one
I know I'm meant to die
Everyone else can watch as their dreams untie
So why can't I"

I've always been a bit obsessed with the Lady of Shalott by Tennyson. And I've always felt like I'm outside of everyone else, just getting to watch everything play out. Sorry, that was a really long answer. LOL!

Laura

my song is I want to be a Millionaire.

'I wanna be a billionaire

I became a follower and posted your badge on my sidebar... now for the song... I like the beach boys Wish they all could be California Girls....The reason that I picked that song is because I am a California girl but I am living in Norway above the Arctic Circle aaaahhhh and well I guess the song makes me feel kinda special!

Hi Gabby!
thanks for the chance to win some yummy candy!! i'm a follower and i've posted your candy on my sidebar! my fave lyrics are :

If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late

Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last? ~ Nickelback

It always reminds me that life is too short to waste and to think what if i had done this, or i should've done that and to just do it!

hugs!

Hi Gabby,to anwer your question:
I have worked for a Rock'n Roll band for 10 years.(Herman Brood & his Wild Romance)
One of my favourite liricks is this one:
Rock & Roll Junkie

You blew my deal
You left me out at heels
You gave me lies for candy
You sucked my juice, ate my brain
Fake for understanding
You know a rock & roll addiction is a festerin' habit
You gotta keep on playin' like a paranoid rabbit
You can hook me on y'r tail, penetrate my soul
You made me feel the sting now of rock & roll

Yes I'm a heart and soul baby, rock & roll
A heart and soul rock & roll junkie
Yes I'm a heart and soul, rock & roll
A heart and soul rock & roll junkie

Forget about y'r poetry and y'r old jive culture
You better crack it up before it's too far gone
Now go by y'r instinct, get down to the real thing
she's no lie, never leads you wrong
I've seen the macrodynamics and the psychedelic trash
I’ve seen the symphonic Nellies, pretending high class
I've seen these funky assed turkeys
And their big platform discoshoes
The new wave hype, the old jive juice

A heart and soul brother, rock & roll
I said a heart and soul, rock & roll junkie
Yes I'm a heart and soul, rock & roll
A heart and soul rock & roll junkie

It’s a magic, fantastic, it’s a plastic fireball
Makes you strung out for life
Makes you stumble and fall
They're gonna call you names you never heard before
They got you comin' down on music you adore
But when I do my suicide for you
I hope you miss me too
But when I do my suicide for you child
I hope you miss me too

Yes I'm a heart and soul, rock & roll
A heart and soul rock & roll junkie
Yes I'm a heart and soul, rock & roll
A heart and soul rock & roll junkie
Yes I'm a heart and soul, rock & roll
A heart and soul rock & roll junkie
Yes I'm a heart and soul, rock & roll
A heart and soul rock & roll junkie
