Sick as a dog...but...

...I still wanted to post what I worked on before I got sick! It's a bunch of stuff all in one post because I don't know how long this flu will last until I can create more. I want to make sure that if I make a card or craft...I'm NOT sick because I don't want to share my cooties! I'm selfish like that! LMBO!

First item up (sound like the Price is Right huh?):
This is a tote of a series of 4 that I made for a swap I'm in at SCS. We are to show our personalities or shall I say...purse-o-nalities! Here I used the "Pin Up" personality of mine! Since we have to include in the tote something relating to the theme...I made matching flower barrets (not pictured...but here's a sample with my DD wearing one).

Next is my "rocker" side...this is by far my fave! I bet you know why...if you already know me that is! I'm off to Hot Topic this weekend with LV for her birthday...to see what I can pick up to match this tote! I'm thinking those black jelly bracelets Madonna use to wear back in the 80's?

Next are 2 sets of Black & White with a Pop cards also for a SCS swap. I just got a few sets from the Ocassions catty and had to use She's all that for one of the cards.

And last but not least...something not as dark as my "image"...lol! This is a series of 6 cards also for another SCS swap. I just LOVE this chickie!!! The chick is the only reason I bought this set...lol.

I'll add all the details once I'm feeling better. Right now I'm all stuffed up and feverish and not to mention SORE...and just want to head back to bed. Thanks for being faithful readers of my blog even though I tend to be absent plenty. *red faced*

Faux Linen Roses In Winter

Ok...toot toot...yes, I tooted my own horn! I LOVE how this card turned out! I did do a boo boo as I scratched a bit too early while the En Fracais stamped was still a bit wet...but either way, layering with a lighter color I think covered the boo boo! The photo paper was "scratched" using medium weight sand paper since I couldn't find my distresser. I have never been in love with any set from SU...but Roses In Winter is my all time fave! I try not to use it too much because I love it that much...but when I do....OOOHHHH! LOL!!! What do you think about this one? Thanks for looking!

Supplies:
CS: CCrisp & Photo Paper
Ink: BBurgundy, WWasabi, GGuava, SSaffron, & CCrisp
Stamps: En Fracais, Roses In Winter, & Elegant Cheer
Embellishments: Burgundy satin ribbon, eyelet & gold cord
Others: circle punch & Crop-A-Dile

Faux Silk with Paper Trey

I'm not too happy with how this card turned out...but still I had to share. I really like this technique since I have TONS of tissue paper left over from Christmas...lol. I totally thought the DP from Autumn leaves would match with the stamped tissue...but alas...it didn't. Still...I worked too hard on it to just toss it...lol. What do you think? Be honest! LOL!

Supplies:
CS: WWasabi, BBlack, White from Mike's & Shangri-la DP from Autumn Leaves
Ink: WWasabi, BBlue, BBlack, & C2Cocoa
Stamps: Out On A Limb from Paper Trey
Embellishments: chocolate satin ribbon & Hodgepodge Hardware
Others: tissue paper, scalloped punch, circle punch, & piercer

Birds Of A Feather....Zindorf Inspired!

When I saw Michelle's card in her SCS gallery, I just about passed out at how GORGEOUS it was...so naturally, I had to CASE it...LOL! The birdies are colored with watercolor pencils and are on dimensionals. It looks as they're gonna fly off the card! I have a swap going on in my MSN group called Birds Of A Feather...so since I hadn't touched my Touch Of Nature set from SU...I had to break it out! Shhh...don't tell hubby I STILL have uninked stamps! Ok, mine didn't turn out as GORGEOUS as Zindorf's...but I still like it! What do you think? Thanks for looking! P.S. WHile you're there checking out her card...check out her whole blog...it will knock your socks off!
Supplies:
CS: BBlack, Kraft, CCaramel, & White from Mike's
Ink: OOlive, BBlack, Tim Holts Vintage Photo, BBlue, & RRock

Birthday card for a friend!

This card just fresh off my work space was made for a stamping friend who's birthday is coming up. I wont give away too many details or else she'll pick up it's for her...if she reads my blog! *rolls eyes* I'm not sure she does...but just to stay on the safe side I'll keep her a secret! *wink* I know she has friends who do read my blog! Tongue Out
I used yesterday color challenge over on SCS and today's sketch! I don't use these colors around this time...more like around say...HALLOWEEN! LOL! But hey, I like challenges! The colors to use were get this~Orchid Opulence, Pumpkin Pie, & Certainly Celery! Fun huh? LMBO! I just love the outcome of the card because of all the "touchable" thingies and the texture!!! I got my new Cuttlebug folders that just came out about 2 weeks or so ago and I JUST broke in the Swiss Dots folder!!! SO MUCH FUN!!! I tried to mimic off everything on the card...from the dots to the balloons! The only "off" thing is the gingham ribbon...lol. So...whadda you think? Thanks for looking!
Supplies:
CS: OOpulence, PPie, "CCelery" match from Bazzill Bling, & White NON SU
Ink: OOpulence, PPie, CCelery, BBlack, & ZIG Markers in matching colors
Stamps: Birthday Whimsy
Embellishments: buttons & gingham ribbon
Others: Swiss Dots CB folder, piercing tool, Versamark pad, clear EP, & glitter

St. Patrick's Day Surprise Pop Up Slider

First off I want to apologize for not being around...story of my life right? LOL! No, seriously though, I have been trying to catch up badly on SCS swaps I'm in before the due dates really creep up on me! Also today I felt very sick! It must be a mild case of food poisoning because I have been really up-chucking! Sorry...TMI! Today I thought I'd take a break and finish up some St. Patrick's Day cards for a swap in both my MSN group and Joani's in hopes I start feeling better.

This is my very first time trying out this cool technique found on SCS...you can find the tutorial HERE! It looked a bit intimidating...but if I put myself to do something...I can overcome that! Well, sometimes...LOL!
Supplies:
CS: WWasabi, MMoss, RRock, White NON SU, & Kraft
Ink: WWasabi
Stamps: Wing It, Weathered, & Sincere Salutations
Embellishments: clear baubles, eyelets, & ribbon
Others: circle punch & Crop-A-Dile

Rockin' Jared Leto for Maria

Hey there...Happy Belated Valentine's Day! Hope you had a great one! I did! LOL! This card here I made especially for Maria of Card Inspired/Stampin Inspirations for Valentine's Day! I am not normally on the ball to send out RAK cards to everyone I would like to...but I had printed out this picture of Jared so I knew I had to use it! He's from the band 30 Seconds To Mars and was also the HOTTIE on My So Called Life with Claire Danes...remember that show? Well, Maria adores this guy and what better Valentine that a hottie you're in to!? LOL! I wish I would have gotten one of Ville from the band HIM...lol. I really like how this card turned out because it reflects who I am...I am so this "rockin'" style! Anywho...I didn't want to post it before until I knew Maria had received it! I'm so glad she liked it! I have a few 30STM on my player if you wanna check it out!

The photo paper was a technique I found on SCS I wanted to try...Faux Linen! Jared's piccy was "scratched" to give it that rock look! My 3 year old DD told me to place the guitar slanted as oppose to laying under Jared's piccy like I had first placed it! LOL! Thanks Lizzie! Muah baby girl!

Supplies:
CS: CCrisp, BBlack, Photo Paper, & Rock Start Stack DCWV
Ink: Jet Black Staz-On & Silver Pilot pen
Stamps: En Fracais, Seriously Sassy, Both Way Blossoms, & Bohemian Flourish from Inkadinkado
Embellishments: cut out guitar
Others: heart punch from Mike's $1 spot & distressing sheet

Just sharing my little helper!

Easter Magnolia

I just finished making these cards this morning. I had to ink up my stamp as hubby said to do in order for me to buy more stamps...lol. These cards were made for a swap in my MSN group that my girl Nic hosted this time around. When I first chose this stamp as my hostess stamp...I really didn't like it. Once I inked it up though, I loved it! Just a single flower can give so much POW without looking too over-done! I added these teeny tiny beads in the center and some dew drops on the leaves. Outcome...very happy! What do you think? I know Magnolias are normally white...but I did a Google search...lol...just to be different and found a pretty yellow one, so I went with that! ;)

Supplies:
CS: LLace, PPlum, & White non SU
Ink: Jet Black Staz-On & Prismacolor markers
Stamps: From The Garden
Embellishments: N/A
Others: Diamond Glaze, Ticket corner punch, & micro beads

Sour Cream Containers

Hi ya'll...I haven't been around the past couple of days due to these bouts with depression. I just haven't been feeling like myself but I have to snap out of it for everyone's sake. By everyone, I mean my kids, hubby, and parents. See...I never think of myself!

Yesterday morning and midday though...I was working on these sour cream containers for my mom. I made 3 dozen of them so she can give them to her friends at Vista...an adult day care center my parents have been going to for the past 4 years. I donate my cards to them from swaps I've been in to give some of those elderly some cheer. Some of them are alone with no one to share theirselves with...so I know the cards given to them help put a smile on their face. Anywho...you can find full instructions on making these at SCS HERE! I just pictured 12 here because I was not about to photograph all 36! LOL!

Supplies:
CS: PIPink, RRed, & White non SU
Ink: RRed & PIPink
Stamps: Wing It, Heartfelt Sentiments from Sweet & Sassy, & date stamper
Embellishments: Pink satin ribbon
Others: Scalloped punch & 1 3/8 circle punch

Criss Cross.....Box!!!???

Later in the afternoon yestreday...once CSI was about to start, I started feeling much better and started prepping to make these. Something about that show gets me in the mood to craft...lol...silly I know! I made these in breaks...during commercials! First I printed out the template provided by Nichole Heady, you can find the downloadable template at Nichole's blog! It's right below the 4th picture. While you're at it...check out the beauty she made!!! Ok, once I had the template printed out, I started pre-scoring and folding the CS. Once all was scored and folded, I cut the CS like in her diagram and began to stamp the "background". Next I punched the scallops and circles and stamped the chick in Close To Cocoa onto the white circles so the chickie can have brown hair and brown feet...lol. Next I stamped the chick onto yellow CS non SU using Basic Black, put that aside and stamped the chick again, but this time onto patterned paper. I took that with me to the sofa along with my paper snips to snip the chick and eggshell to later piece them onto the white circle. I did these during commercials...lol. Once I was done with the snipping and the second CSI came on (they have 3 in a row back to back from 6 - 9), I came back to my desk to assemble the boxes and cut the ribbon. By the time the second CSI was over, I was done! I got to enjoy the third episode by just sitting! LOL! Anywho...these were SO MUCH fun to make and I LOVE the outcome if I may toot my own horn! TOOT TOOT! So what do you think? Aren't these the bomb!!!??? These were made for a swap I'm in at SCS...and now I don't think I want to send them out...LOL!

My blog is worth THIS much!

Browsing thru Gina K's. blog...I came across a post that I thought was hilarious! She posted about how she found this on Julie Buhler's blog and thought it was funny. Well, let me tell you...since curiosity killed the cat...I'm not ready to die. So I clicked and this is how much my blog is worth! OK...but that's how much I think I've spent since I started on my stamping addiction more or less!

My blog is worth $24,839.76.
How much is your blog worth?

Joani & Rose do it again!!!

Ladies...I don't know how you do it! Both of you are so on the ball of not just making cards...but actually getting them out...LOL! Can you guys send me some of your on the ball mojo? I really love the Valentine cards you both sent me! Thank you SO MUCH! BIG HUGS!!!

This one is from Joani! Thanks so much girlfriend!

This one is from Joani's momma, Rose...GlitterRose that is!
The scary thing is...HOW ACCURATE ARE JOANI & ROSE OF HOW I LOOK!!! LOL!

Crazy for Dots!

Non-Traditional Valentine

Made for Friday's Limited Supplies Challenge and with a friend in mind! LOL! Ok, a small story behind it...I have a recently divorced friend who's taken her freedom quite litteral and she's been "dating" around...well I thought this would be a perfect Valentine OR even a congrats? oh her divorce?! Anyways, she has my sense of humor...so I know this wont offend her. We're twisted like that!

I really like the outcome of this card because it came straight from my head without looking at the gallery for the challenge to get ideas...I'm trying to get out of that phase and just be original! I stamped the images onto watercolor paper because I get crisper coloring with no ugly streaks to mess up the images. Color was sponged around the edges because just plain looked boring. I dug thru scraps and found a large sheet of this DP...I believe it's from Figgy Pudding...but then again I could be wrong since it doesn't have a name to it. I went to the reliable Chocolate Chip CS to match flawlessly with the, "I wish they never retired", Cool Carribean. Edges were scalloped using a corner rounder punch by removing the "feet". Scalloped sentiment is popped up on dimensionals. Tires and car "detail" colored in with silver Pilot marker. Thanks for looking!
Supplies:
CS: CChip, CCarribean, Scraps DP, & watercolor paper
Ink: Jet Black Staz-On, CCarribean, Silver Marker by Pilot, & Prismacolor markers
Stamps: Loads Of Love & Loads Of Love Acces.
Embellishments: sheer dual color ribbon
Others: scalloped punch, 1 /38 circle punch, & corner rounder

Productive Day

It's actually been a busy one...but not with house chores...stamping!!! I finished off 2 swaps due in March PLUS I made 2 SCS challenge cards! I love these productive days! Here are the 2 cards I worked on for the challenges:

This one was made for Tuesday's color challenge that called for using Ballet Blue, Apricot Apeal, & Real Red. I didn't have AApeal...but I found something similar in my Bazzill Bling stash! I also finally got to ink up Pefect Package Hanna...shhh...don't tell hubby she was still un-inked! That's between me and you! LOL! I made this Hanna card with me in mind patiently waiting for a heafty order I placed thru SU...hence the brown box Hanna is opening! LOL! Now if only I actually looked like Hanna! The only similarity is that smile on her face opening that box...LOL!

Supplies:
CS: BBlue, Bazzill Apricot, RRed, & watercolor paper
Ink: BBlack & Prismacolor Markers
Stamps: Perfect Package Hana
Embellishments: NONE
Others: N/A

This next card was made for today's sketch challenge. This sure was a fun sketch to work with and it gave me the opportunity to dig into some patterned paper I bought at Target. Some of the patterns on this paper inspired me to use Paper Trey Ink's Spiral Bouquet set! For some reason, I'm loving using brown on just about every card I make...whether it's CChip, C2Cocoa, or CCaramel...I gotta use it!
Supplies:
CS: CChip, BBlue, OOlive, VVanilla, & Angelica PP by K&Company
Ink: CChip, C2Cocoa, RRed, BBlue, & AArtichoke
Stamps: Spiral Bouquet & From The Garden by Fancy Pants
Embellishments: brads
Others: Stylized Flowers Cuttlebug folder & paper piercer

I've rearranged!!!

And now I go nuts because I have NO IDEA where I put stuff away!! Does that ever happen to you? You know where something is when it's all an artsy mess...but then when you "clean up" or rearrange you drive yourself nuts and speaking to yourself...which BTW my kids laugh about when they catch me asking myself..."Where did I put _____?"...LOL! I kind of have an idea NOW where things are since I rearranged about 2 weeks ago...but I still catch myself wondering where for instance my CROP-A-DILE IS!!!! I seem to always look where it was...but now it's rooming with the Cuttlebug...lol. Here is a look into my craft room...not for the faint of heart!!!! LOL! BTW...I'm much more organized now that I've reduced stamp sets from SU and have taken a like in unmounteds! SO MUCH MORE ROOM FOR SO MUCH MORE STUFF! HA HA HA!
Here is my basic work station and where I sit to write to you wonderful people...lol.

Here it is again...the bottom crate holds my CS and DP/PP...trust me, it's not this neat anymore!

This large crate in blue hides other stuff I use less often AND also hides my envelopes I use when I sell stuff. The top right crate now hold scraps in order...colored CS in front, white or vanilla CS in back for stamping, and middle the DP. The crate to the left holds other vendor mounted stamps along with a small Tupperware box with unmounteds without cling and pink rubbers.

Thanks for being brave enough to look! LOL! OK...NOW GET OUT OF MY CRAFT ROOM!!!! Nothing more to see...keep it movin'!!! Rubberneckers! LMBO!
