Dr. Update!!!

Ok...Dr. called...and it turns out.....THERE IS NOTHING ABNORMAL OR WRONG WITH ME!!!! She's telling me that it is most likely that I'm just burning both ends of the candle! Great...I already knew that!!! She told me to take 15 - 20 minute interval breaks twice a day to start off. If I need to wash laundry, get help from the kids, same goes for dishes and vaccuming...etc. I baby my kids so much I don't let them do much...well, not too much I baby them, but I want things done right....and that's my problem! My ugly OCD kills me, so she upgraded my meds for that and I should be getting them in the afternoon. There is one she prescribed to sleep since I haven't been sleeping well as well...so she said to try and get to bed at the latest....10....no later than that! My hair falling out, same stuff....stress related. My rash on my face....anxiety rash! She said the symptoms I had coincided with Lupus...but she wants to rule that out...but still hasn't. She said if this persists for more than a month....the rash...and it spreads to my cheeks and the bridge of my nose, then to give her a call to take some more tests. Man all this doctor talk makes me sick!!! The irony huh? I guess I'll just try to take it easy...try being the magical word!

Gabby,
Just take it easy. You know it all does not have to be done in one day. And as far as picking up and taking care of the house ~ do a little at a time. Dont be afraid to ask for help! And if someone pop's in, they are there to see you - not your house!
Take it easy!
Hugs,
Joani

Oh girl, it sounds like you need to slow down. This is a tough time of year to put that into place. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself. Take whatever shortcuts you can with the house, meals, etc. You need to take care of YOU before you can take care of everyone and everything else.

Big hugs!

Hope you heed your dr.'s advice. Remember that if you don't take care of yourself, you won't be able to take care of anyone else. Hope you can do something for yourself today!

I know what you are talking about. I have done the stress thing to myself as well...the rash, the lack of sleep ...all of it.
I wish I could fix your OCD! My Mom lived like that with us as children and it's often a hard thing to grow up like that. Because children can't meet that level of perfection. It's time for you to learn to let them help you and just understand that the results will be their best! And love them for doing so.
I have a neurological disease, and have had to learn to rely on my family. My husband is truly insulted if I try to do things like "SHOW" him how to load the dishwasher. So what? He does it different. He runs 2 loads, instead of 1. The dishes still end up clean! And I am grateful that he is willing to do it!
So take a page from my book, enlist your troops! And relax...and know that they will be giving you their best. A lil' dirt never killed anyone. ;o)
I hope you are soon feeling wonderful!!! Take it easy and listen to the doc!
peace,
Tammy

Thank you all for your wonderful kind words! I am trying really hard to be "volnurable" to house work. Today hubby halped with the vaccum and I didn't freak out too much...lol. I was standing there looking but didn't "show" him where he missed a spot or which direction to go. I'll learn...eventually! Once again, THANKS! :) Hugs to all!

Hi Gabby....you need to let everyone help you. don't try to do it all yourself. If they miss a spot while cleaning don't worry about it...next time it will be picked up. You have to take care of Gabby first.

Hey Gabby! I'm really glad to hear it's nothing serious! A break throughout the day is a healthy way to go. I have my kids help me with the chores all the time. I feel no guilt over it. . :)

Well hope you don't have lupus. My prayers are with you.
