No Words...

...a swap I'm in hosted by Txmommystamps over on SCS! The swap challenge was to make a card with no greeting or sentiment on it. I loved this idea as I sometimes receive cards from swaps and wish they had a different sentiment or greeting to give to someone. So I thought this idea was great and joined. Lately I've been trying to do something different than from what I'm use to...so I've been trying out masking and/or layering stamps that aren't necessarily from a set. So I came up with this card! I love how it all came together! I used Basic Birds from TAC and Out On A Limb by Paper Trey...don't these look fabby together? I have recently gotten an obsession with purchasing bird and/or owl stamps...and this is one set I'm sure happy I bought! The bird normally is not solid...it's an outlined stamp...but I wanted to give it a "silhouette" look so I colored him in with my black prismacolor marker and added a "highlight" on it's chest, belly, and tail feathers to accentuate it. Whatcha think?

Supplies:
CS: C2Cocoa, TThyme, White non SU, & DP unknown vendor
Ink: BBlack, CChip, TThyme, & SSun
Stamps: Basic Birds TAC & Out On A Limb Paper Trey
Embellishments: ribbon from SU's Beachfront pallet
Others: corner punch (for scallops) and Crop-A-Dile

If You Like Pina Colada...

I know I do! YUMM!!! LOL! Hello...here is a tile "coaster" of a series of 6 for a swap on SCS. I have always love "altering" or stamping on other stuff other than paper...but hadn't done it in a while so I had to join the swap to break me out of the norm and stamp on something other than the daily paper. What do you think? The image was stamped using black Staz-On and then heat set and left to rest for 5 minutes. I colored the image in using Prismacolor Markers and white gel pen (for the "drink"). Tile was inked with SU's YYYellow as the background. I then filled the glass in with Diamond Glaze and once dried...I went over the curve of the glass with the white gel pen. Cherry is masked using a Post-It. Tile was sealed with Krylon Satin finish coat.

Supplies:
CS: NONE

Ink: Black Staz-On, YYYellow, white gel pen, & Prismacolor Markers
Stamps: Happy Hour from Rubbernecker
Embellishments: Diamond Glaze
Others: Tile

Mind your business!!!

Yes...business sized cards!!! I love these because you can make them long OR tall!!! I hadn't made one in a while until now that I signed up for a business sized swap on SCS. Do you see a pattern here how I'm LOVIN' swapping on SCS??? I'm hooked! I get some great cards back in return and couldn't be any happier!!! LOL! Of course I can't do with too many cards to keep for my own...so most of the cards I donate to Vista Adult Day Care Center in Maywood, CA where my parents attend. Anywho...I had so much fun making these long/tall cards!

This one features Tool Time Hanna with Mikey! YAY...women can do just about everything a man can!!! I stamped my images onto 140 cold press watercolor paper to try the "No copics, No problem" techie I picked up on YouTube from ReneeJul1. Check it out HERE! Of course this was my "trial try" so it didn't come out too "copicy" looking...but hey...I tried...LOL! I even raided my hubby's tool box for those metal thingies...lol. Ok...you got me! I can use tools better than my hubby...but sometimes I just DON'T know the names...LMBO!

Now here is the long version card I made. This one was done with Zindorf as inspiration yet again. Plus I need more brayer practice! LOL! The grey sky is brayered onto SU's WWhite and the sun was masked on BEFORE I brayered the sky. I just used the negative to brayer the sun then I used the circle punch out to cover it up to do the sky.

Supplies:~Hanna & Mikey
CS: BBlack, BGray, watercolor paper, & DP unknown
Ink: Black Staz-On & Many Marvelous Markers in CChip, C2Cocoa, CCaramel, BBlossom, BBurgundy, RRed, & RRust

Stamps: Essence Of Love
Embellishments: VVanilla ribbon & baubbles/dew drops
Others: post-it's for masking

Sorry for the gap...

...I've just been super busy with this and that, that I am now finally having SOME breathing time before it gets crazy again soon since we're getting new carpet put in early May. I hate thinking of everything I have to put away from just my craft room ALONE!!! I'm gonna go crazy...but I'll have new carpet to drop CS or ribbon or punches...etc...on! LMBO!

Anywho...continuing with the Bella kits...this is my next favorite. I love how a button was included as the embellishments because as some may know...I have a button fetish!!! I LOVE BUTTONS!!! I have SOOO many that I hog them enough to not use them on my cards...lol. Isn't that just sick? Anywho...this Bella was colored in using my Prismacolor markers that I just LOVE...but HATE how they color on SU's WWhite CS! As you can see...there are visible "streaks" on her dress...UGH....but oh well...I still love it! LOL!

A New Hobby...NON STAMPING OR PAPER RELATED!!! *GASP*

So I LOVE watching L.A. Ink and I LOVE Kat VonD and going to her MySpace I found a tutorial which I posted below on how she makes her custom T-Shirts. Check out that kick @$$ background music too!!! Loving her "rock chick" look...I HAD to try to make a T! I made it for my DD LV. I can't make one for me because the rolls of fat would pop out...lol...so I used another model...lol. So...whatcha think? Think I should get into the business of making these? Be honest! Of course...I'll do better next time...this was MY FIRST! Anyone wanna sign up for one? :D

Wine Time With Bella

Hi ya'll...I made this card using a kit I received from a swap I joined on SCS. I LOVE the whole kit sent! This is my fave of all...even though all other kits were pretty col to play with. I'll post another Bella Kit card I made tomorrow night and the next all in order of "like"! *wink* I added a few of my stuff though...I added a little ribbon and the red CS to set it perfect. And just check out the CUTEST charm that came with the kit!!! Whatcha think?

This Bella is SUSPENDED!!!

No...she's not suspended from beachy fun...but she IS suspended on this card! LOL! I have NEVER tried this technique before...so I am QUITE pleased with the outcome. I made 3...2 for a swap and one for me to keep...but I got so excited spinning this Bella TOO MUCH that whoopsy...the floss slipped right out!!! *GASP* LOL...that's what I get for playing with my cards! I used my Coluzzle to make these since I'm still waiting for an update on Paper Trey for the complete Nestabilities sets. Whatcha think?

Dahlia Fold Buds in Bloom

This folding technique is super cute. I'm in a dahlia fold swap and this is the card I made for the swap. I didn't want to make a complete "dahlia" so I went with stems instead. Next time though...I'll use lighter weight CS because it was so much harder to fold and I don't really enjoy those "unsightly" crinkles in the folds. Next time! The butterfly is punched and was filled in with Diamond Stickles. I love Zindorf's "white shading" so much, I had to do it too on the "vines"...lol.

Supplies:
CS: RRed, WWhite, WWasabi, & Kraft - DP from Slab
Ink: OOlive
Stamps: Baroque Motifs
Embellishments: Rub-on's by Marcella by K
Others: SU 1 3/8 circle punch, ticket corner punch, Stickles, butterfly punch, & Signo white gel pen

Inspiration in my backyard!

Hello ya'll...have you ever had inspiration strike you when you least expect it? Well...it did me! I was stressing it after cleaning and waiting for our company to arrive so I went outside for a smoke. As I was almost done with my cig...I looked up to the sky and saw this view! Well...I felt that little lightbulb go on! Hmm... So I think...I should try to recreate this image. I just bought a brayer on a recent trip to Michaels and thought I'd break it in! Take into mind that I have NEVER used a brayer before...so this card may suck a bit...but still I had to post it...lol! In real life the moon looked MUCH prettier...lol...but in this picture it looks like a plane from afar or something...lol! Anywho...do you think I captured this view? BE HONEST...did I suck bad at the brayer for a first timer? LMBO! Yes...I know...I do need more practice! I need to spend more time at Zindorf's blog! LOL!

Supplies:
CS: BBayou, BBlack, & White NON SU
Ink: BBayou, BBlue, SSky, & BBlack
Stamps: Essence Of Love
Embellishments: sheer white ribbon (unknown)
Others: brayer, Signo white gell pen, & Diamond Glaze

My crafts space after some "Spring Cleaning"

It was HORRID at the way my craft room was looking...so upon doing some Spring cleaning around the house...I decided my room was next. There were crates over flowing with things I haven't used in years and so I did some digging and filled up a HUGE box of crafting stuff to donate to the adult day care center where my parents attend. They have them do manual crafts so I know this stuff will be appreciated. Along with that I'm also donating some cards to the main office to give on birthday or other ocassions.

Oh and I'm also gonna brag a bit...I GOT MYSELF SOME MORE PRISMAS!!! I was gonna go crazy buying the complete set of Copics...but I'm not a millionaire and not crazy enough...lol. I can't betray my Prismas! I got the 156 set PLUS the 24 set of flesh colors. Anywho...what you think of my little room? It's not much...but it's my home inside my home! :) LOL!

With so many new additions from my recent purchases...and many more on the way...I SO need extra space. Now if only I had someone else to craft with besides my daughter...but I can't conjure up stampin' buds. They're all cheap and want to mooch off me. BOOOO!

What stamps resemble YOU?

Well this one here from Rubber Romance resembles me...all except she's missing the double chin and the lip piercing...lol. This was made for a "What Stamp Resembles You" swap over at SCS. I purchased about 4 stamps that I thought "resembled" me...but this one really captures me! Hey...even the sentiment says lots about me! NO...I'M NOT AN ALCOHOLIC!!! But I do like some good cocktails to chill-ax. So, is there a stamp that resembles you? I would LOVE to see. I know...I've seen your pictures for those that have them on their profiles...but I would love to see if there's a stamp out there that screams..."OMG...THIS IS ME!" If you do have one...let me know, I would love to check it out! *smiles*
Supplies:
CS: BBlack, TThyme, RRust, & White NON SU/DP is from digital pack
Ink: BBlack & Prismacolor Markers
Stamps: April Martini Girl from Rubber Romance & sentiments from Rubber Necker
Embellishments: jewel & dew drops
Others: faux photo corners

Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls

Ok...I'm such a dork...but I was listening to TLC. LOL! Anywho...I made 6 of these babies for a swap I'm in at SCS that calls for and "interactive" card so I chose to use the waterfall techie! I used RubberNecker stamps for this one as I thought it would go PERFECT with this technique. I hadn't made a waterfall card in a while, so I had to add some of that lubrication oil on the ol' rust bucket (my head of techies) and put it to action! I can't wait for my Scor-Pal to come once my pusher AKA Joani places my order...lol. It's so much easier than to be moving the paper up and down the trimmer I use to score...UGH! Anywho...whatcha think?

Supplies:
CS: BBlack, RRose, & WWhite
Ink: BBlack & Prismacolor markers
Stamps: Cocktails (?) from RubberNecker
Embellishments: ribbon & pink bling
Others: Spots & Dots CB folder & slot (?) punch

A funny from Joani...OT but cute!

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack.

'Miss Whack, I'd like to get a $30,000 loan to take a holiday.'
Patty looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it's okay, he knows the bank manager.
Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral.
The frog says, 'Sure. I have this,' and produces a tiny porcelain elephant, about an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed.
Very confused, Patty explains that she'll have to consult with the bank manager and disappears into a back office.
She finds the manager and says, 'There's a frog called Kermit Jagger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000, and he wants to use this as collateral.'
She holds up the tiny pink elephant. 'I mean, what in the world is this?'
(you're gonna love this)
The bank manager looks back at her and says...

'It's a knickknack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan, His old man's a Rolling Stone.'

(You're singing it, aren't you? Yeah, I know you are........)
Never take life too seriously! Come on now, you grinned, I know you did!!!

Have a lovely day!

HEEE HEEE!!!!!

Babs ~ Rubber Romance

This is another new stamp I got from Rubber Romance. Her name is Babs and she sure looks so comfy in that tub with all those bubbles...kinda how I do it! LOL! I'm LOVING these Rubber Romance stamps...I need more! BurntCookie at Etsy has come up with new stamps NOT YET FEATURED on www.rubberromance.com!!! Anywho...this is for a swap on SCS which calls to use Rubber Romance stamps. I chose Babs out of the 12 stamps I got from BurntCookie. I also had to try out the "kick stand" technique...super fun! I also got to use scraps...double super since I'm once again acquiring too many! I had enough scraps of this DP to make 6 cards! Sick huh!? So...whatcha think?

Supplies:
CS: SSky, BBlue, WWhite, & DP unknown
Ink: BBlack, Prismacolor markers, & watercolor pencils (for skin)
Stamps: Babs from Rubber Romance

I had been dying to try this tutorial out and was so happy my mojo and muse finally came back to me! Well...mostly because my dad is now home and I could worry less about him being lonely at the hospital. Anywho...I tried this technique out and I LOVED it! I got a new shipment of stamps from Rubber Romance and because of the hubby's rule...I had to ink them...lol. How fun is that rule? Anywho...this is Geisha from Rubber Romance. I got her on Etsy thru the owner of Rubber Romance.com. She goes by BurntCookie if you want to check her out on Etsy. So whatcha think?

Supplies:
CS: BBlack, WWhite, & DP unknown
Ink: BBlack, Prismacolor markers, & watercolor pencils
