Return of the Bella

Happy Friday! Well...here I am after battling a fever and major headaches the past couple days. I finally feel almost 100% myself...but not quite yet! Still...I wanted to post this card...another project of mine using my new babies...lol.

This card is a set of 6 for an SCS swap. I hadn't inked her up...see...I'm following my resolutions...and so is the ribbon. I have tons of ribbon and have found myself online browsing ribbon...but then I catch myself and just browse in my drawer full of ribbon. I guess I'm doing good so far *knock on wood*. I really like these Bellas...but sometimes find myself having a hard time using my Prismas on them...that's why here I used another coloring method...something I had ALSO been neglecting thanks to the Prismas...my Prismacolor colored pencils! *gasp* I didn't use Gamsol on these because this CS has some texture to it and the Gamsol wouldn't work well with it...but I do plan on using the Gamsol again as soon as I get SU's Whisper White. That one I find works great with the Gamsol. Still...I started practicing with my pencils to learn how to blend. It's a process you need plenty of patience with to get the right effect you want...but worth it in the end. Here I tried to make the skirt look as if it were made of suede...not that close...but close enough for me to be OK with it. The shirt is paper pieced using Basic Grey's Infuse DP. I thought it came out cute...what about you?

Supplies:
CS/DP: CChip, BBlossom, Bright White, & Infuse DP by Basic Grey
Ink: BBlack, CChip, C2Cocoa, & Prismacolor colored pencils
Stamps: Mwah Bella & Sugar & Spice Sentiments (Little Paper Shop)
Embellishments: Chocolate satin ribbon
Others: Mega rectangle curved Nestability & Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder

Hugs,
Gabby

Hey Gabby!! I'm sorry that you've been sick but I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better!

As always, your card is so pretty and so nicely colored. I haven't seen Bella much lately but your card inspired me to want to pull her out of the bin.

I've been neglecting my Prismacolor pencils too! Gosh, I haven't worked with them for such a long time!! Time to pull them out too! Thanks for the inspiration!!
