On happy news....I won my first ever blog candy!!! I was so surprised because I didn't enter it because of the goodies, just for the chance to make someone happy by sending them a friendly smile in an envelope...but remember the cause I posted some time back? About the twin baby girls with Neuroblastoma Stage 4? Well that's the blog candy I won. What makes me happier though is the current update...the girls are home and giving mom, dad, and brother, what they signed up for...lol. God is great! Read about it HERE!

This is another card I made using more scraps I've been digging up. I have serious issues when it comes to scraps man...it's sick! I actually didn't think it was that bad, but then I kept bringing up more and more and then I found ANOTHER box filled with scraps!!!! HELP ME!!! Ok, I hadn't used my It's Snow Time Set in a long time, so it was time to bring it out! I can't believe I was gonna re-order it because I thought I had sold it! I need to make inventory...for real! I also have tons of ribbon and brads I haven't used...so what a way to go with my reduce project. I guess it's more than just scraps of CS & DP. Yikes! My 3 year old actually helped me chose which stamps to use. I opened the case up and she pulled out these 3 stamps; the snowman, the snowballs, & the sentiment, she's got style...lol. I also used stickles for the snowballs and the snow to give it that dimensional look. :)

This is for the LSC136 challenge for SCS. I'm not quite happy with it as I couldn't stamp an image, ONLY a sentiment! The challenge was to use ONLY designer/patterned paper and NO stamped background. I got a card surge last night and broke out the patterned paper but went blank as to what sentiment to use. Upon trimming the PP and punching the circles and breaking out the rick-rack...this idea came to mind! I was first gonna pass the rick rack behind the sentiment, but it looked SO BORING...then when I started moving it around, I thought "A FLOWER!" and dug in to the ribbon box and broke out the Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon to make the stem and leaves. Much better than my original thought...still I'm not too happy.

This one is another set from MFT! It's called "Meet Me At The Cafe'". I made this card with a sketch in mind for my MSN group. I finally opened up a package of PP I bought at Target from Autumn Leaves. This PP is YUMMY!
This set is called "It's A Jungle Out There". I used this set to make cards for a swap that calls for monkies at SCS! I teamed it up with the Monkey Business Set from Stampin' Up! I joined the swap because I have 3 crazy monkies! Their names are Elvira the oldest monkey (11), Oscar Jr. the scared monkey (8), and Elizabeth the CRAZY monkey (3). They sure keep me on my toes!
This set is called "How Sweet It Is" and it's a mini set. In my own guess, I'm thinking they call this set a mini because it's smaller than the other sets and are versatile for ATC's and 3X3's? I said it was my guess! LOL! I signed up last night for a Chocolate swap on SCS and had to use this set for this swap. I have other chocolate stamps, but take in mind what hubby said about my account! Anyways, I used that scented embossing powder from Gel-A-Tins on the "kiss" chocolate brad. It smells yumms enough to eat!
Last but most definitely NOT least is this set called "Boho Blossoms". I made the card this morning for a new sketch challenge on SCS and I'm also gonna be using it for a swap in my group. I also used that yummy PP I mentioned before from Autumn Leaves. It is a cool paper! If you ever shop for Autumn Leaves PP....I recommend it! How cool is the brad in the center of the blossom? I found it in a package of 6 in the Target $ section almost a year ago! Yeah, I'm finally digging thru my old stuff I haven't used. I am also trying to organize myself to the point where I HAVE to dig into my scrap pile...I like Maria of Card Inspired, have a BAD scrap syndrome called "I'm too lazy to go through the scrap pile so I cut up new cardstock all the time syndrome". Read about her mission to use up her scraps HERE!
Card made by my 11 year old daughter
While I'm on the subject of Halloween...look at what I "cooked" up!

This card I made second. It's for the Dunn twins from the post below. I made it with lots of love and care. I used Priceless as seeing their little faces on their parents site and being so brave is priceless. You can read about it at the links I've provided below. Please take some time out to send this courageous family a card filled with well wishes for the girls and just a hello to let them know we are behind them and praying not only for the girls, but for them in general.
I made this card last since it's for a swap that doesn't close yet. It was a challenge to use only black & white with NO accent color! I went to the old reliable....Baroque Motifs! I know, I'm gonna wear this set out to the wood! I may have to hide it well so I can leave it alone for a bit...lol.
You can also read about the girls here: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/dunntwins
I'll be making cards of course! I'm having a few ladies over for a class (and hopefully some sales, but I wont use that to take advantage of it of course!) and then after they're gone, I'll be working with LV (my 11 yr. old DD)...that's if she doesn't blow me off for Ryan's football game (her "boyfriend"). I'm kind of on the fence about that one, make cards or go to Ryan's football game...lol. I think cardmaking outweighs the football game, but his mom is very sweet. Hopefully we can all sit together (at least in spirit with each other) and make cards!

To find out more details, go HERE! (sorry I'm posting this late, I've just been a busy bee to have added this a couple of days ago)
So with that said, go and have yourself a fun cardmaking day!
This is what happens to me when I'm sleep deprived...and bored! For some reason my fuel tank is on FULL and I can't seem to make it go on EMPTY. Maybe if when I hit the sack I'll knock out clean! Anywho, I was making a card for a friend of my mom who had a birthday and I thought I would use my Roses In Winter set and pair it with Watercolor Minis. Well, after I was done with my moms card....this idea came to mind:"What if I made an animation of a step by step of the card I just made?". If you look closely, you can see I missed a few steps towards the end and that the angles aren't straight in every picture...but I'd be crazy if I try to do that again! So I just left it at that and was very happy....tired...but happy! What do you think?
If any of my swap partners happen to visit my blog, please let me know what it is you made. Many of then were unmarked with a name, so please let me know so I can give proper credit.
